Hello all, my name is Phoenix (yes I know my user is spelled wrong, my apologies). I have decided to do some sprite work as well as other types of art for the forums enjoyment! And my own of course. I am fairly new at this so be gentle, haha. I am currently majoring in Graphic Design so relaxing and doing pixel art has become one of my hobbies I can still do while on the computer working on projects. I consider myself a creative guy, but I occasionally run out of ideas. in which case I need you to help me out by giving me requests! I currently do anything Starbound-related or Avatar related, but I'll try to come up with any kind of sprites you'd like! I actively participate in the Sprite-offs when I am able, so be sure to look for my work there! If you guys like what I do feel free to chat about art or Starbound or anything! I think it's really good for being your first attempt ever. You even got most of the shading right, something not everyone is capable of.
I've been spriting for two years. I only got good last year, and that was only for weapons. Last month I because really good at shading. And yet this is your first attempt. Fuck me. Good Job

I have used Microsoft Paint most times I work, a program called Spritemite has been great for creating images, but I have problems with trying to save them in the right format. Still looking for better programs, let me know if you (or anyone) has suggestions!

Ha a rocket turret? I'll try it out when I get some time! I don't officially do requests yet, still testing out the process and not completely satisfied with my work yet, but I will definitely take creative help from forum members! Thanks!
Thank you! And i'm sure the stuff you started out doing looked great! If I wasn't majoring in graphic design I probably would have made something that looks like color by numbers lol. I hope someday my art looks as great as the stuff that you create for this game!
