Florans are probably the coolest race. I mean they are brutal and effective predators but still can become highly intelligent in the right environment and are known for reverse engineering ships.
Like my char Snab Cleavewood. He has a strong moral code, doesn't at all mind killing if his code allows it (almost a sociopath), knows a bit about tech, and has a mastery of stealth and his trusty scimitars.
