so, i like to build on hazardous planets it looks cool, it is a challenge for building, for roleplaying etc, there are a lot of reasons to not build on barren or lush planets (hell, the loot is just better) now, i just started building an outpost for "hunting" robots (for ramsticks) on a scorched planet... with meteor showers... you probably see already where im going with this.... we have a lot of materials stockpiling up in lategame, materials like solarium stars... why cant we build very expensive blocks, that use the most "expensive/durable" ore to build shelter blocks, that help against, well, meteor showers? the current options limit your building style just soooo much you either turtle down the earth (which makes the actual reason to build on a volcano-planet redundant), or spam teleports and before you start writing your comments, i know there are mods that add stuff like "shield generators" but im talking about base game here i also know about the brainblocks but these are really ugly
It would be better to add some sort of anti-Meteorite turret that can destroy Meteorites before they hit the ground, as that would allow even more options.
