    only catch is that is in multiplayer on a public server it would leave every base and ship open to anyone. and that could be a problem.

    Have you tried it? I mean, can you confirm that this happens? The only time when it leaves the door open should normally be when you log out of the game while you are standing in the door, otherwise the door automatically closes when you leave the inner radius and step into the outer.

    What was the problem with the doors opening the wrong way? I had vanilla and modded doors having the same issue when wired (before using your mod).

    I misunderstood what args.source[1] was, I thought it was the position of the player.
    Instead it was the direction of the player to the door, so I had to calculate it myself by substracting the players position from the door position.

    So the same problem may well be in the vanilla scripts. Worth reporting it to the devs.

    I don't know if this is really an issue, it is used correctly in the lua code for the doors after all. It could be that source[1] is a relative value, either the position of the character, or, when acting with an entity the direction of the player to the entity.
    I only found out the meaning of source[1] because of the usage in the door code.

    Great, I'll just have to wire a button to my entrance door so it won't open automatically when I get too close. :)

    love this mod , thx !!!
    one small bug or glitch but not rly important :
    on biger doors u can get stuck in doors when u jump and pass the door.
    when u have no more contact with ground the door automaticly close, even if you are close of it.
    if you can fix this it's cool if you cant it's not a problem ;)
