I dreamed that a legion of undead warriors fought a demon trying to destroy the world, and I was there too for some reason but to get back and forth between the world about to be destroyed and the real world, I had to activate a series of devices that each had a tiny lightbulb attached. The demon had a pretty cute daughter. Then, the demon won and turned everybody in the world into angry dogs. Every time I went to get softserve icecream from a machine, I had to run around while it was dispensing, or else I would get bit.

I have read a newspaper article before and I even remember it. It was about U2 being in a plane crash and Bono died.
It was so real I cried for hours.

I think you could possibly, in lucid dreams. But a majority of the time, you're not very aware in dreams, and you can't pay attention to small details like reading, the lines in the palms of your hands, certain symbols, etc.

Yes, that's true. It's just a shame you can't control a dream as a whole. Yeah, there's some steps how to control your dreams, but even details are important, such as you said.
Imagine that... you had a hard day in work, you go to sleep and when you start dreaming, then you can do whatever you want. You can be on beach and have a yacht, you can live as a secret agent, you can be a first human, who landed on Mars, and many other dream-things,
But on the other hand... no one will want to get out from the bed and leave his/her dreams. Of course, it depends on your point of view.

In Lucid Dreaming, you're more aware than you are in most dreams, sometimes allowing you to change the dream. Sometimes it can be so clear, that you can't even change things in the dream, but you'll still feel super aware that you're there. Sometimes, getting scared enough in a lucid dream can lead up to sleep paralysis, which is horrible in many different ways. I remember having a nightmare-ish thing about having sleep paralysis.

Some months ago I had a dream where I was regularly getting out of my house, running to the west side of a muddy pond with an old wood log in it, and every time I get there I removed one of my ribs to throw it on the log, (there was no flesh on it) the first time I get my rib back, but the other times I've left the ribs on the log. Then about 10 ribs later, the pile of ribs was... Screaming, with multiples long high-pitched voices, there screams were really weak and faded, it was a bit scary.X3

When i had 6 years, i had a extremely weird dream (or nightmare?)
Well, i was waking up, meanwhile i told my mom there is a ghost in the staircase and she killed it.
Then i was going to sleep, i again was waking up and i told my mom there is a ghost in staircase and she killed it again.
And some times more, and then i really waked up.

One time I had a dream that I was in the down-stairs section of my old church. I found Pewdiepie down there and there was a bald guy too who was threatening to take down his Youtube channel. So I saved my game and attempted to kill the bald guy with my bare hands. When that didn't work I took out my knife and finished him off. Then I got away in a car, but a giant plant ate the car with me in it and I saw it in 3rd person.

This is what I get for playing Postal 2 before bed.

Can confirm, i've experienced both of those in lucid dreams.
I have definitely dreamt of text before. I dreamt a code and spent several minutes trying to read and memorise it so i could wake myself up and google it. It didn't lead to anything though, just nonsense.
I've also dreamt of a clock moving, and thought "Huh. I heard clocks don't move in dreams. Must not be true."

Lucid dreaming isn't as great as it sounds, because it's, ironically, not very lucid. You might dream you are flying, but what are you flying over? You might look at the ground and see nothing. Not even an empty grey void, it just feels like your eyes are closed (because they are).

Your dreams are only fractions of past experiences, not whole experiences in themselves. It's like watching a cartoon where only a third of the details have been drawn, but you've read parts from the script so you know what some of the unidentifiable interpretations are.

You also do not have full control over your dreams even when lucid. I believe it's influenced by your own self-confidence and suspension of disbelief. If you worry about losing control of the dream, you lose control of the dream. So to keep control you have to insist that you are in control, and that your interpretation of your dream is the right one.
Whenever i get sleep paralysis, i'm never scared. Even the first time, i was just curious how i was moving my hand, yet it wasn't moving. I wanted to know whether i was dreaming the sight or the feeling. It turned out to be both! I remember once i felt the edge of my desk and thought "i moved this desk away from my bed two months ago, so i must be dreaming the feeling!"

also my dreams suck because i can't dream taste or temperature so i never get ice cream :(

So, I had a weird dream today, after a long time.

I don't really remember the details, but I was in an apartment with some other girls and at ond point we all became animated. And not only that, I was genderbent. And I was cute as all heck, let me tell ya. Totally my own type. Black, short hair around neck height, thin but not overly skinny, and a nice round ass. And then at another point I made out with one of the other girls there...

    That's all I remember.
maybe it is time to cut down on hentai...

I had a dream the other night where I was in a strange episode of Doctor Who, where I was in a classroom, and all the kids were complaining about how the ministry of magic wasn't taking them seriously, and how they all had problems all stemming from a single source, but they had been to embarrassed to talk about them. I said 'Sounds like all you need... a Doctor' (because I knew what TV show I was in). Fairly normal so far, by dream standards at least.
Anyway, I was investigating a traumatic event that one of the kids saw, but wouldn't tell me about. I went to the scene and could hear some memories/echoes of past events, including a mother talking to her baby, a scream, and something hitting the ground very hard. So I naturally assumed the mother dropped the kid's baby brother, presumably killing him, and I went back in time to find out. That's when it got weird.

I arrived at the house to see a fried egg crawling around on the floor, and opening its 'mouth' (just a hole in the white), and the mother scooped it up in a frying pan and was talking to it like it was her baby. She put it her kitchen counter, then she suddenly screamed and threw the frying pan and egg-baby on the floor really hard, and said 'Good riddance'. Well at least no humans were hurt? (apart from the traumatised brother) Can't say the same for weird sentient fried eggs.
Me when I woke up: :wtf:

Quite normal for me. Worst thing is, that nobody knows how we can have such dreams (at least, I don't know)
Not long ago, I had a dream, where I was in the woods, and was chased by some wild animals. I'd stumbled over branch and had blackout right after the fall to the ground. When I've open my eyes, I saw a something terrible... blood-thirsty and mad My Little Ponies in circle around me and all of them had red eyes. Then they drag me to their hideout. After that, SlenderMan has arrived and killed them. Few second later, a Superman began to fight with him...
    It was weird as hell.

I dreamt that those cultists from those new episodes of Samurai Jack were hunting me down. I didn't actually see them in my dream, I just "knew" that they were coming after me. I was camping in a forest at night near this city with massive buildings and that's all I could remember. The strange thing about this dream was that it was really vivid even though it happened during a half hour long nap I took

    Surenu The End of Time

I am no stranger to nightmares or flashbacks or lucid dreaming. Yet what I have recently been dreaming has genuinely scared me. Yet it's so... normal: I've had this recurring dream of being hunted down by weird shadowy figures. Basically, direct-to-DVD-horror-movie stuff.

Had a dream a while ago about a government employee that was sent to an abandoned house on the outskirts of a large capitol city. She was outfitted wit a special suit that allowed her to deal with supernatural anomalies without consequence.

The reason she was sent to the abandoned house was because there was strange sightings reported with it. Neighbors were afraid of the house. For very good reason. The house was trapped in a time distortional anomaly. Time moved differently inside the house than it did outside, and those inside could not escape, for if they tried they'd be reduced to ashes.

Inside the house were trapped around 9 people. At first, these captives did not understand the situation, but after studying what was happening outside the windows, they seen nothing but blur and things changing so fast their eyes couldn't keep up. One of the captives made the foolish mistake of trying to exit through the front door, promptly reducing him to ashes. An event that traumatized the rest of the capptives into avoiding any type of exit of the house.

The house was well furnished and the woodwork was high class. With an interior done up with solid mohagany, (a wood commonly used in Krinanjistan), with all of it's ornate designs, the captives at first wept, used up their remaining food, then tore the interior of the house apart for it's wood which they used to craft wooden doll-like urns of their individual likeness. The urns were placed in the windocil, their dark gloomy eyes staring out upon the world.

One by one the captives starved to death. They made the decision to lay down together in the center of the living room, accepting their inevitable and quickly approaching deaths.

By the time the government employee reached the house, it appeared to be in ruins. Overgrown with plants and it's surrounding neighborhoodconverted into storage area for freight containers, the only signs of strange activity being a notestuffed near a hole in the wall, in the back of the house.

It read, "help us, everything is moving fast!"

The government employee, from her training, knew it was a time distortion anomaly, and prompty used her suit to enter the home in some eldrich way that allowed her to meet the one and only survivor of the anomaly. A frantic, disturbed woman who had survived by eating the corpses of her comrades, whom were, by the time of discovery, akin to dried skeletal mummies.

Then survivor was wrapped in a blanket and escorted out the home, wwhich was quarentined and eventually ridden of it's anomaly. The urns filled with the ashes of their respective makers.

Those living near the home in present time still avoid it. They associate it with vile curses.

I kept dreaming of getting killed. For some reason I can't control my dreams but I can feel intense pain even when I wake up. Always in a nightmare when I am being chased or hunted down for a reason that I don't know of. What's weird that nightmares doesn't scare me, it just makes me comfortable instead.

Reminds me of how recently, I've been having "nightmares" that either don't scare me at all or end in a happy ending. Or just me dying and not getting phased by it.
