Hello there! This is my first forum, and I have a question for some more experienced modders out there. I've had Stardew Valley for a few weeks now, and I started to mod the game a week after I bought the game. Everything's going great in that department—however—I'm having trouble editing the hairstyles.xnb file. I just can't really seem to get hairstyles aligned. I learned how to unpack .xnb files today, and I'm aware of the process of editing the hairstyles together to align the base of the Farmer character. I can never seem to get it right, though. To be more specific of what I'm editing, here are the hair mods I'm currently trying to edit together: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/910 https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1103?tab=files (I'm aware these mods ARE outdated, btw.) I've seen this process described in threads, but that's not working too well for me. I'm a bit of a visual learner, so what I'm really asking for is a video on how to do this properly. I'd really really appreciate it, if it's no trouble ofc!
hi, this is what i use to make sure my hairstyles are aligned when i combine different hair mods: https://i.imgur.com/FbRX2OY.png i've included a larger version to download if you plan on combining more hairs i know it isn't a video but i hope it helps !
Oh! Thank You! I do have another teeny question: Is there an alignment guideline for combining hat mods? I haven't found anything yet, so I'm hoping maybe you know smth! Any help is greatly appreciated
Yes, the hats are a little tricky, because you have to combine the data file and the pngs, so I recommend you use JSON assets instead for the conversions. But, here is a template if you would like one
