How do you get transparency on paint?

Also, can you make a guy with a black shirt and white hair, and black pants, please?

 

sure thing buddy, and with paint you can't make an image background transparent, here's a good program that can make your background transparent http://www.gimp.org/ to make a background transparent with Gimp all you do is use the magic wand tool and click the desired area to be transparent... but before you do that click on layer and go to transparency and click on add alpha channel. If it already has an alpha channel then you can delete the background, but without that alpha channel added you cant delete your background. Okay I'm going to work on your sprite now man. Hope this informs you.

 

I always use gimp to make my sprites transparent, though I make sprites with mspaint. I have no idea what I'm doing in gimp: I select on color (which is the background color, a color used nowhere alse in the picture) and create a new layer of visability (Translated literraly, as I have somkind of Dutch version), and then I simply delete layers and save it.
I have no idea how it works, lol...
