Description
This is a very simple mod, that changes the look of the Colony Deed.
It drove me mad that the original deed was so huge, and most of its size (the upper screen) was quite useless. Further didn't it fit into more traditional buildings like, let's say, an Avian brick house, due to its techy appearance.
Installation
Download the file and open it with some packing program. You'll find a folder in there, "Choose your style". Open this, and then again, there are 3 different versions. Pick the folder you like and put its content (folder named "SimplifiedColonyDeed") in your mods-folder, which should be located at steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\mods.
Available Designs
"Minimalistic" - The original
- small dot of light, 2x2 pixels in size, fills a full tile
Static blue light - Everything is fine.
Static red light - House is damaged.
Blue rotating light - Scanning for suitable house.
Blinking blue light - You called the NPC and they are on their way.
Blinking yellow light - Moneyz waiting for you.
Decent - Moving pictures
- the moving parts of the vanilla deed, without background or frame, 10x10 pixels in size, fills a full tile
Works the same as the vanilla deed.
Modest - The requested
- keeps the look of the vanilla deed, 10x10 pixels in size, fills a full tile
Again, same as vanilla deed.
Please choose only one style, and please make sure you put the right thing in you mods-folder (not "Minimalistic", but a folder called "SimplifiedColonyDeed"), or else this will not show up in your game.
If you want to delete it
Before you do this, remember that the original colony deed is 2x6 tiles in size. It is possible that they will drop from the walls, if there is not enough space for them, which will despawn your tenants.
To uninstall, just go into your mods-folder and delete SimplifiedColonyDeed, and you will be fine.
Possible conflicts and problems
Well, any mod that also changes the appearance and size of the colony deed. I used the patch-system for the object itself, but I overwrite colonydeed.frames (because It's so tiny, really...)
It work's fine in multi player, even if the server you are on doesn't run this mod. At least, it does for me.
