Fantasy Forms version the first

Ever wanted to try on a new body?

Do you like fantastic creatures? Do monsters from myth and legend spark your interest something fierce? Have you ever scrolled through the modded races and thought to yourself, "Man, these guys are cool, but I don't really feel like committing to a whole new race each time something strikes my fancy."

    Well...

I'm here to offer you the chance to take a walk on the weird side with no long-term investments! This mod is all about the choice to be, or stop being, something that isn't you for as long as you like. Creatures from popular mythology, fantasy games, and probably some other categories also I guess will all be available. Just equip the gear and you're off to the races!

Currently, the only monster costume available is the classic Harpy, veteran of many fine fantasy settings. It's fully-animated and functional, and looks quite nice if I do say so myself. As I finish more, I'll add more, but making high-quality fully custom everything is quite labor-intensive and time consuming, so please be patient.

Costumes consist of 2 pieces, leg parts and a chest part. There are no headpieces. Currently, they're craftable for 1 pixel each at the spinning wheel, though that'll probably change to something more nuanced and thematically appropriate as the mod develops.

Just load up your game (you may have to make a new character to get the recipes to appear, I'm looking into this, otherwise you can /admin spawn them in with harpywings and harpybody respectively)

Craft them from the Spinning Wheel

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
Avoid wearing hats, as they won't line up with the sprite right.
There's only the one pose, it won't adapt to personalities. This may change in the future, but it's unlikely.

Hope you enjoy, and feel free to let me know if there's any monster in particular you'd like to see.

is it possible to make a version that is not in .pak format (eg: .ZIP)
i love the concept but my computer does not seem to like .pak

I'll make sure to supply a separate .zip option from a dropbox or something in the next update. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

I don't like Harpies. However, i am giving this mod 5 stars to show full support for it, and also show the support for the future development of it. I will also frequently check to see what's new with the mod, or if there are any new updates inbound. Can't wait to maybe one day, i get to play as a super muscular Minotaur hehe... Anyway, keep up the brilliant work, you are most certainly on the right path.

this is incredibly well done for what is there. the sprites are well-made and the animation for movement is impeccable. it's obvious a lot of love went into this. my only complaint is that it's not dyeable, but that's okay! i'm looking forward to seeing what you come out with next.

This could really become an amazing mod. But could you give the player the possibility to only wear the wings? Thanks a lot!

      Author's Response
Unfortunately, as far as I know this isn't currently possible. It's something I wanted too, but the way the outfit hides the player sprite is either all or nothing. If the masking was turned off you'd just have wings overlapping your arms, and it looks bad.

      Sorry! :(
