The general purpose of this mod is to increase the drop rates of salvaged components from robotic space monsters, increase ores dropped from Masteroids which now includes tiered ores (titanium, durasteel, etc.), and increase the amount and variaty of loot you will find in containers and chests.
Mech blueprints will now almost always give you a blueprint you don't already have. I have put some instructions in the file randomblueprint.lua if you would like to tweak this feature.
A new item called the Repair Tool can be crafted at the Foraging Table under the Survival tab. When shot at the mech at close range it recharges the mech which allows the mech to be used reliably on planets and also lets you perform some quick but risky recharges during space encounters so you don't have to beam back up and down so much. This feature was inspired by quiqksilver on reddit.
The overall goal of this mod is to make space encounters as rewarding and engaging as mining and questing rather than feeling a bit pointless. This mod represents something of a critique of the current state of space encounters, what they could have been or could be with just a few small improvements.
There will be compatibility issues with any mod that also modifies space.treasurepool or randomblueprint.lua
You can delete either one of these files if you are only interested in the features provided by one but not the other.
