Pandora's Box (Legacy) V4.0.2-Final

This aims to add variations to unique monsters, add uniques of it's own, and other little tweaks!

  1. Pandora's Box V1.9

    ManicRykker
    Hey guys! Update time.

    V1.9 CHANGELOG

    VARIANTS

    Hemogoblin (26)
    Heomogoblin butt (26)
    Hemogoblin head (26)

(Yes. I know the switch from Hemogoblin to the two separate parts is inconsistent pattern wise. There is nothing I can do about this, as that is how this method of the color
system works (and the ones random monsters use likely wouldn't work either...

You'll notice the same happens with Nutmidge. I just felt it would be better to give monsters like these some love, rather than ignore them due to one little quirk about them.)

    Anglure (58)
    Crutter (58)
    Pipkin (32)
    Smoglin (55)

    NEW SHIP PET SYSTEM

-As of this update, the ship pet system has received a bit of an overhaul. You will notice that ship pets no longer spawn at your ship's SAIL console.

When you first create a character, you will find an object known as a pet panel in your ship locker (Penguin Piracy users should remember the older version of these)

Ship pets are tethered to these panels, and despawn when they are removed. (Pet colors can vary. You can get your pet in a different color by removing and replacing the panel.)

Pet panels can be placed on the wall, and aren't just limited to your ship. You can also place them on planets, in villages.. anywhere without tile protection basically!

Ship pets can also be purchased from Terramart now. If you aren't satisfied with the pet you received with your ship, or want even more of the little guys, you can buy pets from here!

    (Notes:
-The pet panel system only applies to vanilla races. Modded races will find their pets still use the same system, and won't find panels for their pets at Terramart.
-This update will result in the pets that were tethered to your ship;s SAIL to disappear. It's an unfortunate sacrifice, but it had to be done...
-This feature patches out the tech station script from vanilla techstation object files, in exchange for a new one. (with the pet script stuff removed) Mods that make any changes to the vanilla techstation.lua may, very likely, not function for vanilla
    races.)

"So how will the mod's pet system interact with Purchaseable Pets?"

Purchaseable Pets should run without issues, though some objects will be redundant.

That said, I did decide to crack it open. Since it's asset permissions are open on the forums,
I decided to incorporate my own pet removal object using The Suit's script changes. (This is just in case the pet duplication bug is still a thing. Better safe than sorry.)

They will be added to the credits.

    NEW SHIP PETS

Orbis, and Cleaner Bot (Some of you may remember these guys as the ship pet(s) for penguins in Penguin Piracy) are joining the ranks of Ship pets! They have their own pet panels, so why
    not check em out?

    NEW PET REACTIONS

-Ship pets in my mod will now acknowledge each other's existence. (They will inspect and emote at each other.)

-Ship pets will pounce at leaping monsters, such as Gleaps and Bulbops

-Please keep ship pets away from glitchy monsters. They will despawn excessively when they are too close to one.

    NEW COLLECTION

Ship pets now have a Pandora's Box custom collection. When you buy a pet panel (Or take the one you received from your ship locker), the respective pet will added to it! They all have
    their own descriptions too.

    NEW UNIQUE MONSTER

Snorktop - Snorktops are Poptops that live at the bottom of the ocean on ocean planets. Though they can breathe under water perfectly fine, they still wear Snorkel Masks.
(Perhaps they just like fitting in with the environment their in?)

Snorktops function mostly like normal poptops but have a little higher base health, a resistance to fire based weaponry, a small resistance to poison, and a weakness to electricity.
Oh.. and they can fire bubbles at you. That's worth mentioning too.

    TWEAKS

-Simplified how fullbright is handled for the Snugget

    -Some pets have new variations!

    Snugget (1)
    Snake (1)
    Piglett (2)
Crasberry (8) - Crasberry has had all of it's spritesheets replaced with tweaks to match the clearly updated version of the monster present in the yellowgrey variant.
(Nothing much folks. Just a highlight on the top of it's shell.)
    Weasel (2)
    Bunny (1)

    -Terramart now sells capture pods!

-Removed shiny hemogoblin butt. It wasn't much to scream at, and it made the hemogoblin alts uneven across the three monsters.

-Removed shinies for poptop and adult poptop. They were too similar in appearance to alts already present in the mod.

-A certain dreaded core monster now has a lower targetQueryRange (Meaning you have to be a little closer to it for it to notice you now.)

-Implemented some poptop alts that slipped through the cracks between some updates.

-Nocttops have been tweaked a bit, stat wise. They now have resistances and weaknesses!

Nocttops are now highly resistant to poison and ice-based weaponry (You're not going to be doing much with that weaponry!)
However, they have weaknesses to fire and electricity now. (They also have a bit of general physical resistance)

    Bugfix

-A minor fix to the spritesheets for mama poptop (for compatibility with Frackin Universe's Mama Poptop)
