Yes, this is FU compatible :p

//The following is an emergency broadcast from the Terrene Protectorate
"With the fall of earth comes our own fall. Humanity is either under some new power or near extinct. To any and all remaining Protectors in this dark galaxy, our hearts and minds are with you, for you are our last chance, our last hope, for redemption"

This mod is basically a miscellaneous content mod with a strong focus on expanding upon the game's lore in a manner in-keeping with its canon, as well as introducing things I feel are """missing""" (in a particularly subjective sense) from the base game. Given the fairly even spread of the mod's content, it's meant to have a fairly light footprint on the game, although expect it to get larger in stature as time goes on.

Some of the more notable bits of content in the mod so far:
    • The Protector's Handgun and its damaged starting variant, as well as the Protector's Armor set.
    • USCM Remnant encounters, or more specifically a couple new microdungeons, a new dungeon, and an NPC ship encounter.
    • A mech recharging tool!
    • The reintroduction of Impervium, now an ore obtained from meteor microdungeons on magma planets.
    • On duty Peacekeepers who'll come in to aid friendly NPCs.
    • Many new lore codices found across vanilla villages, dungeons and ship/space encounters.
    • And much more!

    Known Incompatibilities:
    - any mods that overwrite the fossilgame.lua or destroyruin.lua files, nothing horrible will happen if another mod overwrites these files, it's just that the Grandmaster fossil brush will become useless and that you won't get any new radiomessages for the ruin.

This mod breaks the Penguin mission on the Outpost

Oh, the Dreadwing mission hasn't been broken lol, I just made it so that you need to complete the Floran mission to unlock it now.

Vanilla Starbound definitely feels like it is missing things after having used this. I regret not installing it sooner.

hello!, this is a very great and well thought out mod, its just that the recent update, the one with space police, broke job offers, i can still hire merchants and stuff, but not tenants and villagers

      Author's Response
are you sure you're not using a mod like Earth's finest or something? this mod patches both merchants and villagers, but not tenants, so it doesn't really sound like this mod is to blame here

still, try again with an older version of this mod just so we can be sure here, if the issue is resolved by doing that we can continue discussing this in the discussion tab

Great mod, dropship doesn't spawn and lags the game

      Author's Response
that sounds like a potential mod conflict to me, do you happen to use any other mod that involves the protectorate dropship?

    Great mod with out question.
The only problems I had were on one hand the new quests somehow not showing, not even with commands, though that wasn't a problem for me really.
The other thing for me is that the protector's sphere can be rather janky at times with the spike sphere attribute.
My idea for the protector's sphere would be having to hold down right mouse button or something for it to actually stick to things or maybe a way to toggle it so it doesn't get in the way at times

hmm, could you share with me a log in the mod desc? I might be able to help you out with the quests.

I also thought I fixed the sphere's jank... perhaps even going one above the speed of the spikesphere isn't great. or maybe it's something else that's bothering you

In-game this mod has no author or description, does it mean its fine? also i only extracted it

      Author's Response
this should be safe, mods installed folder-wise tend to not show their details in game anyways, if you'd prefer there's a steam version of this mod
