WILL YOU SURVIVE?

Crafting cost so much for something you have to live on. Crafting table 750 SP, that's just a little too much for monster that only give you 35 per kill and do 40 per hit.

Really makes you feel like you have accomplished something. Great survival aspect only leads to realism and a sense of great risk if you get it wrong.
This mod can only get better!

I like the mod but could really use a second melee weapon to work with, I prefer melee over ranged so would be nice to be able to upgrade the stick into a spear or some thing so it isn't so worthless to use.

I'm working on a totally different crafting system for melee weapons. ;)

Provides a challenge that the vanilla game desperately needed. It's finally difficult and that alone is absolutely wonderful.
Thanks to you, I'll be playing the game for hours on end again. You rock.

this is exactly what my gaming files were needing, it gives me back the thing I lost in most games a challange that I can overcome by myslef without the F game holding my damn hand, during the last version I manage to take a character to the beta sector, but the huge amount of unknown ore that I needed was discourage me from keep going (either that or I miss something)... its very much like dark souls in the sense that if you are dieing a lot means that its YOU the one thats doing something wrong not the mod, the best part is that if you do something wrong you can fix it, it wont be easy but you can.
To the modder: I cant play use the latest version, when I try to load my new charachter it throws a weather error (do I need to delete the entire content of the universe file so I can play? because I pretty much delete everything else). on a side note, there are three mods out there that fit nicely with your mod without breaking it, they just add a bit more reward for some action the player do... if you want I can PM them to you ( I have been using them with the previous version with absolutly zero problems)

all in all a golden mod (pardon any mistakes my weitten english is a bit rusty)

      Author's Response
Hello! Thnx :) I wasn't aware of any weather bugs with old characters. Maybe try a universe wipe then. Remember to bring your stuff with you;) There are very few mods that do not alter the same files. Which means there might be something missing or wrong, but since you don't know how it was supposed to be in the first place, you might not notice it ;) you can PM me whenever u'd like!

i had an idea that might work or might not don't really know
i was thinking that maybe you could make it so that the hunger is even faster with a bonus of when your hunger is full you get a lite regen
so regen forfull hunger but faster hunger is my idea
just thought it would be cool

It's a nice suggestion. Allthough I'm not sure it will be possible. Starbound is still pretty limited. I'll look into it ;)

This is just awesome! This mod is like an all new game. When Starbound is too easy Survivalist mod is there for me!

I think the dificulty lvl at the beginning is just perfect. Dying felt really frustrating.

When you have an armor and a gun it gets too easy. When you've learn how to use it, the sniper 1 shot-kill almost everything on tier 1 planet... :(

In my opinion using the the 3D Printer, for scanning & reprinting cool stuff, feels too easy for a wreck ship. It should be made harder to use - using ship's fuel as it need energy to work? or it could need resource like wood, iron, ... ?.

Putting blocks in place could deplete our energy and the effective length to move stuff could also be shortened. I just feel as if i'm cheating when i'm trapping monsters within seconds while being at a safe distance cause they don't see me... :/

There is soooo many possibility to make it even harder and make it even more realistic!
Keep on the great work, this mod is great! :)

It's frustratingly difficult to get out of the beginning tier. I have a stick, a bush hat, and I can't get enough SP to make anything else.
    1. antonsenlarsen
      Author's Response
the whole point of the mod is the difficulty. You download a difficulty mod, and then you whine about it being difficult and give it a 2 star rating..... thats totally unfair. It's not even that hard if you learn how to play the game.

    Nice mod!
Though, I've managed to fix several errors conserning an apex sword, the wild cotton thingy and something with a pickaxe. I hope you won't blame me for this ^^ (I've not updated this fix)

Its nice, a great mod. I like the difficulty this adds but its too damn hard to get started. But its too brutal in the beginning. At the very least tone down the aggro range of mobs or reduce the weather effects a bit for the first planet. I find birds diving down at me from over half the screen away and ground mobs just chasing to the ends of the earth. That, and getting pelted with rocks literally falling out of the sky, just makes it too damn hard to survive long enough to get any solid amount of materials.
    1. antonsenlarsen
      Author's Response
Hello! Start with crafting all the bush armor and then the death bow. Stay close to your cave if you go outside in the night. Night monsters are much harder and birds are agro, but they drop higher amounts of SP. When you get the Death Bow you'll find that it gets much easier :)

Great job on this mod. I simply love the difficulty.
Can I ask you if you could add custom race support? or at least for top downloaded race ones, thank you.
    1. antonsenlarsen
      Author's Response
Hello. Thanks for review. If I am to add different races I'll have to edit ship, quests, balance weapons and costs of everything for that species. It is quite the job. But I plan to do so later ;)
