Added an input node to the monsters. Use a switch to make them toggle between static and animated, playing out the animation states you set by interacting with the pedestals.
The object doesn't know which animations should go with which however, so you can get things like the glitch knight riding hard on a stationary horse. Just scroll past those.
Also has a fix for the possibility of immortal monsters being left behind when their pedestal is removed.
