Outdated Tiered Targets 2014-02-21

Practice your aim on targets that emulate armor for each tier!

    TIERED TARGETS

    _______________________________________________________________
This was developed while I was testing weapons for an upcoming race mod; I needed a fool-proof way to determine how much a weapon would be hitting for in a given tier - too much work to keep hunting down monsters and shooting them or recruiting friends in to stand there and let me shoot them.

SO, what this mod does then is allows you to create targets that you can stick anywhere on the background wall that you can shoot and which display how much damage you're doing and how much protection you're piercing through.

Or just if you want to shoot targets!

    _______________________________________________________
The leftmost target is where it all starts - created at a crafting table for 5 wood, the Wooden Target has no armor, and exists just to be something to shoot at. However, if you take it to a Metalworking Station and combine it with 2 bars of any metal, you'll create a tiered target that has the health and armor of a standard player with a full set of tiered armor on!

The Diamond Target (created with a Wooden Target and 2 Diamonds) has no armor, but a tremendous amount of health - shoot it as much as you want!

Once you break the target, it'll drop another so you can put it up and shoot it all over again!

cool and practical, it would be nice to be able to put in the two directions, not only left.

Yeah, that's why they wiggle so much - to make it look semi sensible from both directions. The real problem is that they spawn monsters (that's what the targets are) and I'm pretty sure I can't choose what direction they face when spawned. The other option is to make right-facing targets also, but that's twice as many other things clogging the menu then. Oh well.
