Changes width and height requirements so you get x1 ui scaling at more resolutions

    Description

    For most people Starbound runs at x2 UI Scale. People with smaller monitors and resolutions might see x1 scale but you might also be stuck at a resolution where it should really be x1 so you can fit the UI on your screen without it cutting off.

    By default Starbound changes to x2 UI Scale when the game resolution width is higher than 1000 pixels OR the height higher than 500 pixels. (either one)
    This mod changes those values to 1200px and 700px so anyone with a resolution smaller than 1200x700 will x1 scaling.

    If you're not happy with the values then just go to the mod folder, open interface.config.patch in notepad and change the values.
    You could for example force it to be always x1 scale or you could also, if you have a 4K monitor, make it scale to 3 times as large instead of 2.


    Installation

    Extract zip file. Move ui_scaling mod folder into Starbound/giraffe_storage/mods/ folder.

    When updating it is recommend that you remove the previous version.

    The mod is a good idea, but it only seems to work on older versions of Starbound. Is there any way to make it work for the latest version? It isn't changing anything when installed.

    Exactly what I was looking for. Bumped the UI up to 3 and I no longer have to squint at the TV from across the room.

    This is great! Is there a way to set it to 1.5 scaling instead of 1 though? I find the text a little bit too small for me at that size.

      This is not possible, you can't use decimals.
