When fighting the 3rd boss, I was able to stand under him and just a little to the side and his flame breath was unable to hit me. I think he should be able to shoot the player regardless of positioning. Also his hitbox was hard to find--while my 2h weapon was making contact with his feet/ribs, it just wiffed. I the hitbox on the 4th boss's little cohorts was a bit small too.
