Woah, It's Pretty Awesome, Continue making this beautiful Portraits!!!

 

Hello everyone, I'm considering revamping this mod as I've gained an interest in SDV again after all these years (lol).

It's been awhile and I never finished it; while some portraits I'm still okay with, there are definitely ones I would make edits to, as well as make this mod officially compatible with the updated Emily and Shane romances (thank you to @Rachaelora and @Hammurabi for the edits in the meantime).

I am currently unsure if I will do this in the Hi-Res portraits or stick to the original pixel style (I feel it would mesh better with the game). Regardless, I figured I'd update this thread as it's the only place where the mod is still publicly available

 

If you do choose to revamp these--hi-res or no--I would DEFINITELY use them again. Your portraits were always my favorites, and I was sad when you announced you would be taking a break and shelving the project for the time being.

Ooh, the updated version looks great! Much more solid anatomy in the face, if that makes any sense. I really like the new hairstyle as well! I am all for this revamp!

Edit: Would you be able to release them as a content pack? Just wondering, I can help convert them. It just makes for easier editing on your part (no unpacking/packing xnbs) and doesn't replace original files this way.

 

Hi I wouldn't mind doing that at all! I just don't really know how to, haha, but I'll see what I can do

WIP for now; I will go ahead and put the XNB files here, but when I finish updating I will re-release as a content pack! I am considering just redoing all of the villagers tbh. I didn't think my art style changed that much but yet here we are lol.
This will likely be the last wip (unless I get all of the bachelors/bachelorettes done). Maru will likely keep her portraits because I think they still mesh well.

I actually found a thread that had converted my portrait mod to a content pack, so I think I'll just replace the files in there with the updated images! Thank you though!

Oh wow, your improvement is stunning, and these new portraits are absolutely wonderful! Thank you for taking another pass at these.

(Also I appreciate that you're still using a pixellated/low rez style. Using the high rez portrait mod makes these smooth portraits which are extremely jarring next to the huge pixel blocky rest of the game. I know other people's opinions differ on this.)

I'm still not completely sold on Haley, Emily, and Elliott's portraits so they might be redone later but for now I'm going to try to work on the portraits that I never did at all just to try to round out the mod
