Modding Help Adding light spots to tiles (not radiantLight)

I've been looking for a way to add subtle light to tiles, like the ones you see in avian screens or the shield generator. I can't find a way to do it. The objects do this with background and foreground animation, but that doesn't seem to be available for tiles.

Anyone knows how to do this or if it's impossible?

 

I don't think blocks can do that, which is why it is done via object instead.
