Current Aqua Sphere is essentially "emergency surfacing pod " and "boat". In my opinion, change of the functionality to this is good idea: Activating Aqua Sphere turns you into a sphere, but 1. To quickly rise to surface only requires you to hold "Up" button, as in moving up in water, this movement is faster than other movements to provide the "emergency surfacing pod" function. 2. movements with "Left", "Right" and "Down" will provide better mobility compared to normal swimming, the pod will halt and retain its position if player lets go of the movement keys, allowing the pod to float at any depth. (If you have played Super Mario 3, you know about the "Frog suit" powerup, that changed the movement in water from "Left-Right and Jump to swim up" into "any direction key moves player to that direction")
I feel like i would use aqua sphere a little more if it worked like drinking a reef-cola. The only head tech i feel is even worth using right now is the spike sphere.
