NameAsteroida DescriptionThe Asteroida are a race of giant bioluminescent echinoderms that live and feed in the depths of the ocean. They have two different types; The Cumbra and Starra. The Cumbra is basically a sea cucumber that sits at the bottom of the ocean. When approached by a player, six pink appendages shoot out from the top of the Asteroida and attempt to leech health from the player. Each appendage is a separate mob with decent health; each appendage can drain small amounts of health at a time before having to fall back into the Asteroida and re-appearing a short time later. After the appendages are destroyed the Asteroida will release several bubbles of air in which the player can restock their breath meter in. After the bubbles are released the Asteroida sits effortlessly on the ocean floor awaiting you to destroy it; after killing the Asteroida the flesh dissolves and leaves a corpse behind that can be destroyed to drop random loot, which will most likely be in the range of decent-good in terms of quality. The Starra form of the Asteroida is a giant starfish that slowly moves across the surface of the ocean floor and actually attacks other water mobs; after killing the mob the Asteroida will leech the energy of the creature slightly increasing the Asteroida's health and attack power slightly; there is a cap for how strong the Starra Asteroida can become, which is a powerful boss level; you can determine the approximate strength of these Asteroida by the color of its skin; pink(Low Mob)-yellow(Medium Mob)-light orange(Hard Mob)-green(Low Boss)-red(Med Boss)-purple(Hard Boss). Starra Asteroid are a plethora of times harder to fight then a Cumbra Asteroida; one reason is agility. Unlike the Cumbra, the Starra can float and move around the water at a fast pace, giving it an upper-hand against the player; the second reason is the variety of attacks it can perform. One of these attacks is a long pink tongue that can be shot out of the Asteroida's mouth and pulls the player toward it. The other attack is a spin attack in which the Asteroida shows all five appendages and rapidly hurls itself across the screen. fter killing the Asteroida the flesh dissolves and leaves a corpse behind that can be destroyed to drop random loot, which will most likely be in the range of Low-Rare in terms of quality depending on the strength.
