So I run the game and nothing happens except I get a white box that endlessly loads, when I click anywhere out of the box it changes to not responding and am forced to close the box which then crashes. Here is the problem details from action center:

Hm, sorry to hear about this! Here's a shot in the dark suggestion:

      - Try disabling Ansel/NvCamera via this tool: C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Ansel\Tools\NvCameraConfiguration.exe

Unfortunately, I still get same results with Nvidia camera disabled.

          Awww man :(

Okay, well, here's a few things I'd look into if I had access to your machine:
          • Is there a CrashLog12345.txt adjacent to the game's .exe?
            • Steam -> Right Click Timespinner -> Properties -> Local Files Tab -> Browse Local Files
            • If so, please post the contents here
          • Does the save directory exist on your machine?
            • C:\Users\[USERNAME]\My Documents\SavedGames\Timespinner\Timespinner\AllPlayers
            • Is your My Documents folder on a weird drive?
            • You could try creating those folders manually. The game does try to access this location early on, and if it doesn't have permissions to access it, maybe problems could occur?
          • Try running the game on an alternate graphics card? Most computers have 2 graphics cards, you could try each one.

          Really sorry you're having trouble!

There is no CrashLog. The directory I had to manually create but changed nothing when trying to run the game. My MoBo is an ASRock 970A-G/3.1 with 32GB RAM and no on-board graphics to minimalize conflicts. I have also done a verify integrity on steam with no new downloads applied nor positive results.

Aw man, I had hoped that would've worked!

Have you played any other 2D games on your machine similar to Timespinner? Ie. Stardew Valley, Chasm, etc.

Dead Cells, Terraria, Planet Centauri, Moonlighter, Craft the World, etc.... all run fine from the minute i downloaded them.

Hmmmm! Have you tried running the game as Admin? And whitelisting the game on your anti-virus?

I have done both. I will say that I only get the blank screen when I try to run the game through steam. When I run it through the .exe it shows it running in the task manager processes but nothing happens, just shows it using 4000k(round about) of memory but no load screen or anything.

Oh that's strange! What happens when you run the game via the Command Line?

                      1. Copy the path to the Timespinner folder
                      2. Open the Command Line via START menu -> Run -> cmd
                      3. If the path to Timespinner is not on the C:\ drive, type E:\ (or whatever the drive is) and press enter
                      4. Type "cd ", then right click to paste the path
                      5. Type "Timespinner.exe" and press enter
I'm hoping that there will be some text output.

                        er, on step 3 it's "E:" not "E:\" lol

Same results as if I try running the .exe by double clicking it. And just jumps to the command prompt E:\>

Alright, that's too bad. Thanks for sticking with me so far! I'd really like to figure out what's going on here.

Could you send me your email address? Either via PM or send an email to info@lunarraygames.com
I'm going to try giving you a DRM-Free (non-Steam) copy of the game and I want to see if that works.

The reason being, the very first thing the Steam version does is spin up all the Steamworks doodads on launch. If it still happens when outside of Steam, then we can look elsewhere.

So same results with DRM. I even tried a different hard drive but no change....

The discussion has the same issue but making changes to v-sync didn't change my outcome. I may try loading the game onto my laptop and see what happens.

And I got the results I expected, runs fine on laptop. I'm going to download a task killer to see if some of the background programs are causing problems.

That is so strange! I'm glad you were able to get it running on another machine at least.
