Meet the blockling (there are some animated gifs - so it is recommended to enable the animation) They are small creatures 1-3 tiles in length. They love to just lay somewhere and observe the outskirts. They are friendly towards everyone. They look like the tiles they are spawned on. Note that blocklings are not blocks - they will not stop water flow etc. Environment/Habitat/ Spawn Rate/Spawning Conditions It prefers surface tiles on any good-aligned planets. Spawns rarely - it shouldn't be something player is used to find. If there is no blockling template for biome block type - then it will not spawn there. Drops/Loot/Health It is tough, it cannot be mined out. loot: 1) 2-3 normal blocks 2) "Seed" block - you can use it to spawn blockling wherever you want. New blockling will try to mimic neighboring blocks (if there is an appropriate blockling template for that block type). New blocklings are friendly towards the player and hostile to its enemies. They can be used as a weak defense. Movement /Attacks/Damage It never moves. It attacks only if the player stands near it for too long. It shoots small blocks for low damage. It can be fatal if you stand too close to the cliff.
the answer is no i presume, BUT you can place wooden planks like a stairs an put a blockling on each plank - it will look like a wall definitely.
That would get insanely irritating. But i have to say the one spitting at the guy made me laugh pretty hard.
Why? They are meant to be very rare. And even if there will be one on your way - you won't probably notice it 'cause it has a good disguise.
Well attacking if it stands near too long is better than just making them pretty much landmines, but like i said, the idea made me laugh though i'd rather not see them in the game. Just my opinion.
If we can make them evil and build a deep pit with it, or if we can somehow cook and eat them, I'm all sails for these little guys.
Man feel bad to step on these guys' faces Having them as minor guards/scouts is pretty awesome though! And if the planet is made of icecream... I will lose a friend, for the betterment of me. (greedisgood 99999)
nice. spitting rocks at unaware player just for fun is interesting. Especially if you are in the middle of boss-battle
