Can we get the ability to play on previous versions on PC?

I can't be the only one that would like this option. During 1.3 i was playing through the game for my 2nd playthrough, this playthrough was HEAVILY modded. Then 1.4 came out, and i was stuck waiting for mods to update, some of which took the better part of a year to be updated by which point it was too late and that playthrough was abandoned.



I know that same games (Stellaris comes to mind) allows you to play on previous itterations of the game through the steam beta function like so







Would it be possible for the previous versions of the game to be added to this menu, so that if 1.5 comes out, we can roll back to 1.4 if we want to if we're currently playing through the game modded or for other similar reasons?
