So we know that the cave underneath stardew valley will be a key part of the game. What we dont know however is what we will face down in it. So i put togheter this list of a few creatures i came up with. Feel free to add your own or post suggestions/criticsm. (Disclaimer: Im not quite sure how the laws of copyright work and what Ape is allowed to put into the game. Not that i really expect any of this to be added to the game but hey theres always a chance it will. For the sake of making things simple dont completely ripoff a creature from for example Lord of the rings,The elderscrolls or something like that. By all means take inspiration but dont copy and paste.) Please read the list before contributing so there wont be any doubles. Creatures: Noghdolm Noghdolms are large peaceful creatures who live in the caverns bellow Stardew valley. They resemble large turtles with their carapace usually the a reddish brownish green color and they have brown leathery skin. Noghdolms live deep down in the caverns grazing on mushrooms and other plants. Their large shells are nearly indestructable so if one were to attack the creature it whould be impossible to harm it if it had time to retreat into the shell. Despite their very large size and stature these creatures do not harm humans unless provoked, Infact studies have even shown these creatures being friendly and easy to tame. While slow they can carry heavy loads and traverse difficult terrain. In stardew valley this creature can be tamed by the player to act as a pet in the caverns, Carrying rocks and minerals up to the surface and such. Crystal Whisps A strange creature more resembling a natural phenomenon than a living being. This eerie light travels the underground with no set destination floating through caves and tunnels. Some of these have even been seen on the surface at night. Witnesses describe the Crystal whisp as being a blue-purplish light that merely floats around. Its shape remains up for debate with some whisps being in that shape of an oval others as spheres. Upon spotting a living creature the Crystal whisp seems to be able to understand what it has encountered. It stays away from harm and appeares be drawn towards friendly creatures most humans. The most plausible theory is that the whisp is a manifistation of pure energy formed within the caverns. Shock Beatle A large beatle with pronouncable horns and electric blue carapaces. This creature is able to lead electricity through its trio of horns and create bolts of lightning to shoot out of them on command. While a peacefull creature it will attack those it does not trust and is very protective of its territory. The lightning while painfull acts more like a taser, Stunning the target and allowing the Schock Beatle to push it away from its territory. The downside of this is that it takes it alot of time to recharge and create another lightning bolt. Shock Beatles can be tamed if one can earn its trust. While a creature wich requires great care it can also be a great ally. It protects those it trust and will stay loyal to its owner. It should be noted that the Shock Beatle is highly attracted to Electricity and will aptempt to get close to electric machines to examine them. Most of the time its because of the the creature thinking that the machine is one of its own kind due to the static energy that the beatles produce, But sometimes it will aptempt to recharge itself by coming in contact with high ammounts of energy. Toneros A large armored centipede armed with the claws and spikes on its back. This dangerous creature lives deep bellow ground burrowing through the caverns and making its tunnels. This creature is often not far away from its hive where it lives with several others of its kind. Toneros are highly dangerous due to their vicious nature and will often attack humans and other weaker creatures. Armed with its razor sharp claws it can tear through armor with just a few slices. They nest in the dark tunnels wich they create and thanks to their multiple glowing eyes they can both see and be seen in the dark. A creature straight out of a nightmare that should be avoided at all cost. Abyssal Metorian A large bat like creature that lives in the largest caverns bellow ground. This beast lives the life of a lone wolf often seperating itself from its parents as soon as possible and only living with its kind during mating season. It nests in dry caves hoping to catch unaware prey that dares go into the darkness where it hides. The Metorian resembles a cross between a bat and an aligator with huge reptilian jaws and large leathery wings. The Metorian is an extreme danger to humans but will only attack when disturbed or while hunting. However if one were to be attacked by this creature things could rapidly turn for the worse. It almost never stops pursuing its prey and will aptempt to corner,trap or in any other way catch it. Its teeth are loaded with venom similar to the teeth of a snake. This venom is while not lethal still incredebly painfull, The Metorian will however never go for the kill unless it requires food. It cause serious damage but its goal is often only to scare away intruders, leaving them extremely damaged but still alive. This means that if one were to play dead upon getting attacked by a Metorian you could get out without any major wounds.
I very much like the crystal wisps, they sound so elegant and beautiful... Maybe they could come in different colors? And be tameable!
Here's what I spotted in the videos by CA so far: -Moths -Goblins/Orcs (what matters is that they are green humanoids with weapons) -Living Spike Balls -Bats -Angry Moles -Slimes (Green, Blue) -Rock Crabs (bugs with rocks on their backs)
How about a cave dwelling mini-boss that is hell bent on finding his silver toe ring, "my darling, my darling"
