and suddenly I'm not sure where I am. I could have done too much. I could have done too little. I could need to re-apply cheap pixel lighting to squares I colored over. I could have it just right. I actually don't know.
with a new avatar I now proclaim... what next? new Spiral, or Diamond Checkerboard? both are simple-pattern headaches. also, Kint- "I could possibly not know" doesn't fit the tone of what I'm saying. I don't plan anything but wall-of-text. I say mostly what I'd say in a face-to-face conversation. except with a slightly higher level of confidence, because accidental insults won't have physical consequence most of the time
working out the details right now. apparently this is custom-order, so I only have to worry about pattern formation, not coloring.
SIR! you are under arrest for the excessive usage of rhinestones in public without a license! please do not resist arrest, your rights are as follows...
this pattern is all natural, no license required also, apparently trying to develop diamond-checkerboard will instead cause poorly formed gridwork. seeking a new diamond pattern. this should not have happened
Just a moment... *rummages through beanie* AHA! Found something. How about a chess board?! jk How about isometric diamond shapes of random sizes?
Diamond Checkerboard means various things to various people. The requester preferred this design over all others, so here it is, in a flashy yellow and black. I am aware of the terrible background, but... I can't do much here. I'd almost consider doing Kints diamond suggestion, but I'm done with diamonds for tonight. So... put the random-size Diamonds on the "Next Time" list. Now lets see what I can do for the new spiral pattern.
Idle Musing :: within 5 minutes of starting the spiral design, my subconscious designed a small cup of coffee purely out of 2 spirals. I have saved this design for later reference. ... its 10 minutes to midnight. for now I'm giving you kids the Coffee of Spirally and going to bed.
woke up. within an hour I was in Paint.net apparently I can't leave well enough alone. here's diamond 2.0 design. I can now rest easy. While I know that the requester liked the other one... I just... wanted to do something a bit better. thoughts on the new one?
alright. The original post has been edited to include all the new art I hadn't put there. I reformatted the sprite section for convenience too. Still accepting any requests, and I won't deny repeat requesters.
Just wondering, when the game starts, if this race was incorporated... Will the original homeworld (where the majority of factories are) be destroyed, and the original 180 (the 180 left of the 200) also be lost? Or will it be one of their colonies?
ah, just to clarify- in the "The Bad" section of the original post, I think I stated that there are only ten (10) survivors of the original 200 Clara'an. The Junkyard where the original factory is has been considered the Clara'an Homeworld, as it is the planetoid from which they entered the Universe/Multiverse as equals. If basic intro procedures require the destruction of the characters "starting planet" then the starting planet will be a Clara'an colony world, not the original Junkyard. If you could please let me know, where was it you read that 180 survivors were to be had? I thought I cleaned up all the information to match the "only 10" factoid >_>
