They made mobs manually for a months before the generator. They have many mobs they made individually. I'm sure they would be happy to make more.
The background includes some cameos and some monster monster winners. There is an old picture of a dev on an ice world with creepy guys watching from afar. Besides these the devs said they didn't want to show the custom made monsters because they wanted to keep them a secret until release. TLDR: they want to keep them secret.
exactly, all those custom monsters are there because of a contest. If people had their ideas added whilly nilly, then there wouldn't be much use for a contest, now would there?
No, all those monsters are there because the ones in the contest have been released. The monsters the devs made have not been released. If uiomancan's creature gets enough attention, the devs could add it. If you put a cool enough creature out and it gets enough acclaim, why not add it?
Well, most of the monster monster winners were actually featured here. As for the topic at hand, I think they look pretty cool, we just need to know what they do.
Do they do anything special? we need to know the difference between these and any other random mob. Do they shoot ink, do they eat you whole?

Starting on the weapons you can make with the Dridd parts! I have done a Dridd ink turret! It shoots ink bombs when Mobs are around (configurable) and The mobs will walk/run the other way
