The Cycloptopus is not yet known how far in the game it will be encountered. But since it needs Violium bars to summon, it will most likely be met far in the game SUMMON: to summon this master of disaster you need to craft a "Totally not suspicious eye" from 20 Violium bars and 5 Oculemon, this trap will work since the boss has always been in search for another 2nd eye which got stabbed by a human ship captain. BATTLE: When placed the "Totally not suspicious eye" on the ground. From the sky will fall a big Cycloptopus thinking that it's found itself a replacement eye, but realizing It's a trap, will start attacking. The Boss has 2 stages, The second stage starts when the boss is at half health. If you attempt to run away from the boss, it will pull you back with it's tentacle. (I did not make this Pixel Art, I only gave an example of what the boss could look like <-------------- IMPORTANT.) 1st STAGE MOVES: -Jump around everywhere for a certain time dealing big damage when falls on player. -After the jumping it stays on the ground and smacks his tentacles towards you dealing high damage also. -A rare move used by the octopus is a long time fired laser from his eye Dealing Very high damage. 2nd STAGE MOVES: (At this stage the bosses eye gets destroyed, and instead there are Giant teeth in that spot in a round shape) -Spawns many Little Cycloptopus that deal low damage and have low health. -Same moves as before without the laser -Does a really fast spinning move that can kill the player right away. REWARDS: A really strong smacking tentacle blade that poisons enemies, a lore book about the boss and 1-5 Blood Crystals used for the next tier of a "workbench". LORE: The Cycloptopus, the child of the giant octopus who once attacked Earth. When it was small, it was found by a group of Humans attempting to leave Earth. They were holding the creature trapped in a strong room. The first "night" on the ship and the creature had already transformed from baby to beast, breaking through the room killing every one of the crew, until he came down to the captain. Not knowing where to stab the creature, he stabbed it in the eye, since then the beast was known as the Cycloptopus. The humans got this information when finding the ship empty with only a quickly written over piece of paper where the captain wrote down the situation as fast as he could.
Sounds alright. A bit like the Eye of Cthulhu in a couple of ways. My one concern is how obscure the crafting ingredients for the summoner are; if you need to get them only from tentacle biomes and related chests, and then die, it's going to get harder and harder to find the materials.
