Kato leans his sword against one of the racks, taking the one that Ringleader handed him. 'What now?' He tilts his head slightly to the side.

 

She stands up and tries to clamber out of the little boat.

 

Ivan, your newly christened llama pal, stays beside you as you look over Dissida's wounds. No broken skin, but it looks like she shattered her ribs... Ivan makes a strange sound as the sandworm roars again.... Well, you have a broken Dissida, and a llama....and a worm that wants to eat you...so....ya'know....uh....stuff to do, things not to die from...and most importantly how the h- oh! A caravan! You see a caravan off in the distance!

But more importantly!

Acquired, 1x Ivan the Llama

The beast comes rattling back, grabbing your legs before flipping you into the air. You easily regain your balance mid-air. The beast looks rather annoyed as several frosty scimitars start to form in all of its many hands....uh....you cant fight that many swords....or can you?

Your shoggoth seems to be willingly listening to you. The Elder writhes in pain a bit, a slight buzzing filling the air. You hear Mi-go speak as doors a ways away open. Not the entrance, but deeper into the facility. They don't need the weapons your kind's built.....

They point to a door at the end of the compartment, ushering you to it.... No....why would they be this nice? Why would the Ringleader let you end so easily? No. This must be a trap. This has to be! The skeleton's snicker as if they know something.

You hear Ringleader laugh a bit, swinging the blade around as if it weighs nothing... He seems very strong for his lithe stature....

" We fight, but of course! You have the first strike! "

You have a feeling that this isn't going to be a fair fight.... But you've never been in a fair fight, where anything was swayed in your favor, so, what's new?

You exit the boat, only to almost slip off the dock. One of the adults helps you not to plummet into the water, before leading you to a village.

The village is rather nice truly, big thatched buildings, houses, market stalls, strange animals waddling around. A nice little community, the children dance and play, while the adults and seniors watch happily....this...

Why does this feel like home?

 

He dislocates his bones and adjusts his chormatophores to match that of the icy terrain, easily disrobing mid air and letting it fall as he collapses flat and tries to slip behind the creature unnoticed, weapon left behind. Should be easier in the dark area...
((Squids/octopi are boss man...))

"What are the Mi-go doing here?"
He tries his best to help them.

 

"Aha!"
He picks up Dissidia and heads for the caravan.
"Ivan! Let us move!"

 

Aton goes to the door and open it just to see what's behind.

 

Kato nods, tapping the side of his head and holding the sword forwards. He moves around, looking for an opening.

 

...like home. The feeling was jarring as she stepped out of the boat and looked around. The feeling was bizarre, to be surrounded by strangers and feel so comfortable. As she picks up a foot to move forward, she immediately withdraws it and takes a step back. 'No, this isn't right. I'm wasting my time.' Another step back. 'This isn't home. These aren't my people.' Another step, faster this time. '...and these aren't my problems.' She turns around and walks away.

 

Xom pours themselves a cup and drinks it with ease. "It's good, no?"

 

You actually manage to get behind the creature, it goes to attack your robes, furiously ripping them to shreds

" They're helping the Shoggoth....they help, they get our weapons, research, everything once they win..... "

The sandworm barrels through the sand under you bursting up and to the side, narrowly missing you. Ivan keeps up right beside you, and Dissida groaning in pain

They snicker as you get closer to the door....your hand is upon the handle....now, only to open it

You couldn't swim to the temple.....but you could steal a boat without them noticing.....go ahead, break your promise, make yourself a liar you pitiful thing.

He's just standing there, a large opening on his right side...he chuckles to himself

 

He tries to carefully but quickly climb up to his skull, trying to burrow his beak in the flesh between his spine and skull.

He keeps his voice down, as he tries to help them.
"Oh god... The mi-go, the polyps, the shoggoth... why are they doing this? Are the Yith involved?!"

 

"Ivan! We must go fast if we wish to get there in time!"
He goes faster.

 

Kato rushes towards Ringleader, surprisingly fast. He arcs the sword down in a powerful strike, ignoring the obvious opening and going straight for the grinning mask.

 

The beast slithers away the second you touch it, bucking you off as it slithers into the darkness

" I don't know....They....ugh....I don't know...."
The clicking of the Mi-Go gets louder....they draw close

Ivan makes a bleating sound as he speeds up...uh...do llamas make that sound? No matter, you're almost at the caravan

He easily sidesteps you, you bring the blade crashing into the ground

 

He doesn't follow, waiting in hiding near the light of the wisp, taking the time to ditch his larger bones.

"Oh no..."
He sends out a small psychic prayer that his soul be saved before readying his weapon...

 

Kato brings the blade swinging towards the Ringleader, stopping right before hitting him and spinning, having the blade come in from the other direction.

 

He continues running.

 

The wisp hovers around your bones...it's body crackling warmly as SBB growls

You manage to help them up, being rather light as they've lost the most of their body

You actually manage to nail Ringleader in the back... He gives you a chuckle and a thumbs up. Seems he cant keep up with spinny things

You manage to make it to the caravan, a sweet yet extremely powerful scent filling the air.... Like incense.... The worm leaves you be, Ivan chewing on your shirt

 

((not me)) Aton ignores those damn skeletons and open the door.

 

He keeps himself flat and blends with the ice, letting the outer moisture freeze as an insulant while he waits for the creature's return, very slowly moving from the wisplight.

He keeps his weapon ready.
"I hope you don't betray me..."
he says to the shoggoth.
