Emitting a psychic signal at the shoggoth to just store the elder thing within for the time being and go after the mi-go. Reassuring they should be fine in case they attack.
Before attempting to psionically make the mi-go panic as he imitates a second shoggoth.

 

Aton shoots at the Reaper with his SMG.

 

Xom blinks once. "King of what?"

 

" Actually, yes. But you're going to have to kill your little wisp and bear friend. Wont be a problem will it? "

You barely manage to pull it off.....Just barely.....Your shoggoth misinterpreted the command.. It absorbs one of the Mi-Go, while the other goes running away like a frightened child

You strike it low in the chest, it reels to the side, but still, it lumbers towards you.

She shrugs as she sips some of the tea and coughs
" Why do I drink this.... "

 

"Please, allow me..."
He tries to get his body back in functional order.

Aton tries to aim for the head of the Reaper.

 

Xom stares at her hard. "How do you even know a king exists?"

 

Somber shrugs
" Castle's have kings right? "

The bullets strike, the fused skulls under the layer of goo shattering. The creature keeps on, but much slower

You easily get yourself back to normal. Ringleader laughs

After getting himself back together, he first approaches the wisp, an air of menace about him...

"You best let the other one out soon... you might accidentally absorb him.

 

Aton keeps firing until he wastes all his ammos.

 

The wisp looks frightened as you draw near.....

Your shoggoth spits him out onto the floor.....He groans as he wipes some slime off

You nail it in the chest and head several times, before it picks you up, slinging you around

 

He devours the wisp whole, seemingly absorbing its essence...
In reality, it will join the collective when this body dies...
He moves to do the same to the spider bear...
"Don't worry... Your master will be joining you soon enough..."

Aton tries to rip it soul apart.

 

Xom stares hard at Somber. "Castles don't always entail kings. Kingdoms. Kingdoms entail kings."

 

SBB growls as you near....raking his claws against the ground

You rip it apart....It lies on the floor....right until it re-congeals

" Oh. Hrm. Well have you any better ideas? "

 

Aton tries to find a weapon or an exit.

 

He sits down before it, staring at it eye level...
He whispers quietly...
"I promise to make it easy... you'll be your master soon enough..."

Xom just shrugs. "We're still not entirely convinced of these creature's malice." In truth, it was hard to summon any amount of empathy for what they could only assume were cogs in the Ringleader's game show machine. Not to mention, Somber being so kind to Xom and appearing almost out of nowhere was a bit suspicious. She had no trouble traversing through the darkness to reach them, what was to say she wasn't in league with these "Nyights"?

 

You see a broken piece of the handrail. A metal pipe basically. You see an open door behind the creature/

It growls at you, stepping back...

Aton tries to kick the creature out of his way by by hitting it with the handrail and then to rush towards the door to see if it leads anywhere.
