I'll keep the thought in mind, though if more people request for it I'll think about making an alternate version (Or rather a .patch) entry that is optional to enable if more people request it. The idea was to bring back the original smelting style, while making it worthwhile in the long run. I am aware it makes the start of the game longer, but I personally am fine with it. Again, however, if more people request it I'll add a .patch optional mod for it that will only affect the recipes for that. As it currently is, to me 3/2/1 sounds a little op compared to 5/3/1.

Seems like an interesting mod, but I have a mod that allows me to grind the ore into dust at a 2:1 ratio. Though I may use this given how easy it is to get tons of ingots using the ore to dust mod.
I was actually thinking of adding something like that to my mod in all honesty. The way I look at it, for my mod, it's more of a slightly harder mode that pays off later on. As for dust, was going to be having that at the same ratio of ore in terms of bar production for my mod as the logic is the earlier tier can't do it that well, mid tier is alright, and last tier is very efficient. Add a masher or something similar, and it can work the same way for more ores, though I'm wanting to put that behind a doorway of sorts to earn it if I do put it in.
