Enemy Suggestion Thread

    Here's a thread to put all the enemy suggestions in.

    Guidelines:
    • The stronger an enemy's attack, generally the more time it takes to execute.
    • Special abilities should complement the monster's other capabilities, not just add on to them.
    • Bosses should generally have the same health as other bosses, unless they are significantly different from the others.
    • Classes are representative of overall capabilities, Class 1 would be a Wisp, Class 2 a Greater Wisp and Class 3/Boss would be an Ancient Wisp.
    • Posts should be suggestions. No posting about other people's posts or this will become very messy.
    • If you want to make your own thread for your group of creatures or your boss due to scale/lore/images, feel free to do so.
    Cultist(Class 1):
    [Attack: Melee]- The Cultist slashes with his knife, dealing low damage with a chance to bleed.
    [Attack: Ranged]- The Cultist fires a bolt of slow-moving energy that is destroyed on contact with terrain.
    Health: +++++
    Speed: +++++
    Damage: +++++

    Channeler(Class 2):
    [Attack: Ranged]- The Channeler stands still for a couple of seconds and fires off numerous bolts of slow-moving energy.

    • Bolts of energy that impact other monsters heal them for a small portion of their HP.
    Summoner(Class 3/Boss):
    [Attack: Melee]- The Summoner brings forth several spectral swords that impale the ground nearby to him.
    [Attack: Ranged]- The Summoner calls a mystical spear that shoots forward along the ground in front of him.
    [Attack: Special]- The Summoner is immobilized for 5 seconds while he slowly draws demons from portals in the ground nearby to him.

    Damage:+++++
    • Does not deal impact damage.
    • Has less health than most other bosses.

      I for one would like some more humanoid type enemies, I haven't gotten all that far yet but enemies with guns would be interesting. A band of space pirates maybe. Or maybe just ranged versions of the Lemurians.

        Spitter(Class 1):

        [Attack: Ranged]- The Spitter spits/vomits on the ground causing the player to move slower. The spit/vomit may or may not cause damage (should be seen as an annoyance).

          No font and color changes because reasons.

          Phantom Sniper:
          Laser aims, can not aim through terrain / has to have direct vision.
          Quick bullet, speed of Vagrants attacks.
          That's Its only attack.
          Teleports about a quarter of the screen away from player, won't move while aiming or reloading.

          low hp, low speed, high damage.
           
          • Venom

            Venom Pangalactic Porcupine

            I was actually hoping for some special events with specific mobs with maybe some kind of mini-boss among them.

            For example:
            - A meteor strikes down where parasites seemed to live in. With a magma worm type of paraste mini boss.
            - A space pirate shit crashes down with (You never guess) space pirates aboard with a captain as mini boss.
            - Attack of the tiny people. Random event where tons and tons of small quick creatures try to attack you with one special one as mini boss.
            - The dark ones. The screen gets darker with some fog coming up. In the fog there are creatures with only eyes visable following you everywhere you go.
            Until the mini boss is killed the fog will not go away and the sky wont clear up.
            - Beams of light come from the sky opening up the clouds making tons of jellyfish spawn and follow you. With a special vagrant as mini-boss. (Related to the lore).
            - A pit/portal to hell with demons spawning from it. You need to find the portal and destroy it. Mini-boss can be a three headed hound-like beast.

            Notes:
            A warning will be given that something is approaching: (I suck at this).

            Meteor strike: You can see something approaching rapidly from outer space!
            Space pirates: Faintly but surely ''Arg'' can be heard from the sky!?
            Tiny people: You can hear tiny footsteps behind you but there seems to be nobody..
            Dark ones: While the fog comes up, you feel like you are being watched.
            Jelly war: As the sky opens up, you see something approaching... slowly but steadily.
            Gates of hell: The ground is trembling and loud screeches can be heard across the land.

            During these events the other monsters will be scared and go away till the event is over.

              Fungus Lord(Class 3/Boss):
              [Attack: Melee]- The Fungus Lord emits several spore clouds that home in on enemies nearby(1 for each player up to 4). These dissipate quickly and deal heavy damage.
              [Attack: Melee]- The Fungus Lord slams down with his hands, dealing heavy damage and knocking players back.
              [Attack: Special]- The Fungus Lord shakes himself, releasing a cloud of spores that covers the entire screen, dealing low damage continually.

              Damage:+++++
              • Does not deal impact damage.
              • Drops a large spore cloud on death like smaller mushroom creatures.
              • Summons mushroom minions constantly.
              While rather slow-moving, like the Golem boss, he hits hard and is a pain to deal with in melee range. Players have an incentive to deal with him quickly because he uses his special move when players cannot be reached via normal pathing.

                  Wolfizard(Class 1):
                  [Attack: Melee]- The Wolfizard uses its wolf fangs to bite dealing medium damage.
                  [Attack: Ranged]- The Wolfizard uses its lizard abilities to spit a low damage poison ball at it's target that gets destroyed when it comes in contact with terrain. May cause poison, obviously.
                  Health: +++++

                  • The Wolfizard is part lizard part wolf.
                  Steampunk Wolfizard(Class 2):
                  [Attack: Melee]- The Steampunk Wolfizard uses its poisoned metal fangs to deal medium damage and may poison the target.
                  [Attack: Ranged]- The Steampunk Wolfizard uses a mechanism within itself to spit a medium damage fireball that gets destroyed when it comes in contact with terrain.

                  • Since it's a machine, it isn't as fast.
                  Dragonawolf(Class 3/Boss):
                  [Attack: Melee]- The Dragonawolf lifts its front paws and waits for two seconds before stomping them down with tremendous power.
                  [Attack: Ranged]- The Dragonawolf spits many fast moving low damage fireballs everywhere in the direction it's facing.
                  [Attack: Special]- The Dragonawolf charges for five seconds before it jumps into the air and uses its dragon wings to fly around while breathing fire at its target for five more seconds. Afterward it lands and takes five MORE seconds to catch its breath.

                  • The Dragonawolf is part dragon part wolf instead of part lizard part wolf.
                  • Although it's part dragon, it can't really fly without charging for five seconds, and can only fly for ten seconds if it isn't breathing fire all the while. No matter what it also has to catch its breath for five seconds after landing too. It is however perfectly capable of jumping.

                    Crystal peasant(Class 1):
                    [Attack: Melee]- The crystal peasant will run at you and strike you with a hoe made of pure crystal knocking you back for minor damage with a 1% chance to root that increases by 1.5% with each level of difficulty and will root for 1 second
                    [Attack: Special]- The crystal peasant will take a chance to block attacks, for 5 seconds, coming from its front reducing the amount taken by 20%

                    Crystal Foot-soldier(Class 2):
                    [Attack: Melee]- The Crystal foot-soldier will attempt to charge the player with a spear dealing low damage, but will have a chance bleed the player of 5% of health ever 2 seconds for 10 seconds
                    [Attack: Ranged]- The Crystal foot-soldier will take 2 seconds to draw a bow and fire a slow moving arrow that deals moderate damage with a chance a 10% chance to root and will root for 2.5 seconds
                    [Attack: Special]- The Crystal foot-soldier will take a chance to block attacks, for 5 seconds, coming from its front reducing the amount taken by 30%

                    Crystal Knight(Class 3/Boss):
                    [Attack: Melee]- The Crystal Knight will slash at the player dealing heavy damage with a chance to bleed for 10% health every 5 seconds for 20 seconds
                    [Attack: Melee]- The Crystal Knight will bash the played with his shield dealing moderate damage with a high knockback and a high chance to stun.
                    [Attack: Special]- The Crystal Knight impales the ground with his sword summoning a fortress of crystals that locks the knight into the ground, but he will take a reduced damage up to 80%. The fortress lasts for 10 seconds

                    • If the Knight takes enough damage in a short period there is a chance he may fall over and will take time to get back up.
                    • When the fortress collapses crystals will fall dealing damage to everything in a moderate area around the knight, the knight also needs time to recover from summoning the fortress.
                    • The Crystal fortress acts like terrain blocking movement.
                    My idea for the boss is a boss that can cut you to pieces if you arent smart so the player has incentive to learn how long it takes for him to slash and how long it takes him to recovers and how much damage it takes to knock him over.

                      Imp Overlord(Class 3/Boss):
                      [Attack: Melee]- The Imp Overlord slashes with his claws 4 times in quick succession, propelling himself forward with each swipe.
                      [Attack: Melee]- The Imp Overlord slashes viciously at his feet 3 times, dealing heavy damage to anyone underneath him.
                      [Attack: Ranged]- The Imp Overlord shoots out a beam of energy from his eye across the ground in front of him, dealing minor damage then causing explosions that knock players into the air.
                      Health:+++++
                      Speed:+++++
                      Damage:+++++
                      • Can teleport to players.
                      • Not immune to slows/stuns/knockback(Like the Ancient Wisp*).
                      • Summons Imps constantly.
                      *As in, the Ancient Wisp is ALSO not immune to stuns/etc. It can be stunned. Like this one.

                        Mime(Class 2):
                        A strange, humanoid creature wearing a striped black-and-white shirt and having oddly gear-shaped black markings around their eyes, in contrast to their brilliantly white faces.
                        [Attack: Melee]- The Mime extends one of its appendages, elongating it and using the claw that is on its end.
                        Health: +++++
                        Speed: +++++
                        Damage: +++++

                        Baseball Mime(Class 2):
                        Similar to the Mime, except now wielding something similar to a baseball bat.
                        [Attack: Melee]- The Baseball Mime uses its baseball bat to take a swing at the enemy.
                        [Attack: Ranged]- The Baseball Mime throws his baseball bat, which will boomerang back to him and hit enemies for twice the damage on its way back. The Baseball Mime is immobile and cannot otherwise attack while this attack is in progress.
                        Health: +++++

                        Clockwork Orange(Class 3/Boss):
                        [Attack: Melee]- A Clockwork Orange (lel) uses the spikes on his sides as he rolls around to harm enemies on the ground before him.
                        [Attack: Ranged]- A Clockwork Orange spews out a ton of spikey gears, damaging all on impact. The gears stick around in the ground until destroyed (they have their own hitpoints).
                        [Attack: Special]- A Clockwork Orange summons a crew of three Mimes and a Baseball Mime to attack their enemies.
                        Health: +++++
                        Speed: +++++
                        Damage: +++++
                        • This boss can jump around as it rolls, reaching higher platforms.

                          Fox0427 Big Damn Hero

                          Jellybubble(Class 3/Boss):
                          This is a bubble filled with strange jelly that can turn into jellyfish.
                          [Attack: Melee]- The Jellybubble gets above the player and forces itself down really quickly, landing on the player but only dealing low damage.
                          [Attack: Melee]- The Jellybubble turns red, then flings itself at the player ten times, but will stop if it hits the player. The attack deals medium damage.
                          [Attack: Ranged]- The Jellybubble shoots out a blob of jelly out of itself at the player. if the player is hit, he is unable to use abilities for five seconds. If not, the jelly turns into a jellyfish five seconds after hitting terrain.
                          Health:+++++
                          Speed:+++++
                          Damage:+++++
                          • If the player is trying to hide somewhere the Jellybubble can't reach, it will shrink itself down, then when able to, grow itself up. It can get as large as the Ancient Golem.
                          • When killed, the jelly bubble explodes into fifteen jelly blobs. they act the same as they do in the attack, so you may want to be somewhere the other than where the Jellybubble died.

                            Daimera, I like the 'dynamics' of the bigger one better for his walking animation, the way he leans forward more as he walks. The smaller one's walking animation could be a good idle stance, maybe. Also, I love the way you made his ghostly trails have faces in them. Overall, good job - looks fab. Very spooky.

                            Mindburster(Class 2)
                            [Attack: Ranged]- A pulse of psychic energy swoops across its close vicinity, damaging all players in its path.
                            [Attack: Ranged]- A bolt of energy traverses the sky, hitting the nearest player.
                            Health: +++++
                            Speed: ++++++
                            Damage: +++++

                            Shockmind Prime(Class 3/Boss)
                            [Attack: Ranged]- A wave of energy rushes from its feet towards the nearest player, growing taller and more painful as it travels further.
                            [Attack: Ranged]- After channeling, a burst of energised orbs is emitted from Shockmind Prime, arcing out like a fountain.
                            [Attack: Special]- Target sighted, Shockmind Prime takes aim and releases a beam of energy towards the player.

                              Lemuriking(Class 3/Boss):
                              A king Lemurian... That's it.
                              [Attack: Melee]- The Lemuriking does that thing with the stuff that the normal Lemurians do... You know, the thing with the red jaws the magically appear?
                              [Attack: Melee]- The Lemuriking dashes forward really quickly, heavily damaging and stunning you if hit.
                              [Attack: Special]- The Lemuriking spawns Lemurians. Yep. That's it.

                                [Attack: Contact]- This enemy is basically a much smaller, dinkier, not-fiery normal-enemy version of the Magma Worm. It'd have a fairly high director value due to high-ish health and infrequency of vulnerable time, but it doesn't do much damage; it mostly just gets in the way.

                                  Crab God/King/Lord, whichever sounds best(Class 3 Boss):


                                  [Attack: Melee: Claw swing(Either side)] - Just a basic swing either going up to down or down to up which either hits on the ground or in the air to make jump attacks not be completely OP.

                                  [Attack: Ranged : Bubble shot] - Bubbles froth at its mouth and spread out from the location in random directions while a few hunt the player down, if the player gets hit by one it traps and lifts them off the ground to a set distance to where the crab god/king/lord could hit it with a melee swing. Bubbles can be shot/hit to destroy, if encasing a player takes a bit more damage.

                                  [Attack: Melee/Ranged : Clack/Klak(whichever sound best) - The Crab God/Lord/King clacks its claws repeatedly on the ground sending a shockwave across the ground which can be jumped over.(If the description is confusing basically take the crab claw and turn it horizontal then put it ot the ground and he clacks it then, or if you want he could put it above his eye stalks and the shockwave forms as it hits the ground)

                                  [Non Attack: Skitter] The Crab God/King/Lord will quickly move towards the player, randomly does this like the vagrant BUT if a player is caught in a bubble will do it automatically to get a swing in.

                                  Summons some crabs to help randomly.

                                  Health: +++++
                                  Speed: ++/+ - either 2 or 2.5
                                  Damage: +++

                                  PLEASE forgive my paint skills, but I hope you get the gist of it, that's a crown inbetween its eyes

                                    Leaper(Class 1):
                                    Appearance: Looks like a flea, except it has 2 large back legs and 2 scythe like claws(4 limbs total)

                                    [Attack: Melee - Swipe] Takes a swipe with both of its claws in a vertical fashion

                                    [Non-Attack: Leap] The leaper, using it's massive back legs leaps large distances which it uses to surprise it's prey for a quick kill with it's scythes.

                                      I think there needs to be an annoying spiky dude that crawls up and down ropes and chains. maybe with stabby forelimbs. Just a little class 1 mob that spawns on ropes to make them seem like less of a safe haven.

                                          I agree that there should be something on the ropes to stop you from hanging on them, like a spiked ball that appears if your on there for more then 30 seconds and then disappears after you get off for 10 seconds. More of a barrier then a mob however you can still kill it for a decent amount of gold.

                                          looks like a hedgehog but darker
                                          [Attack: melee/ passive - spikes] does not actually have an attack but whenever it comes in contact with the player does slight damage
                                          [Non attack/ passive- climb] has the ability to spawn on ropes if hung on for too long, and can climb them if spawning on them is too hard
