I was thinking it'd be kool if there were floating islands, they'd probs fit best on ocean planets, since they would probably be over oceans anyway. With floating islands you would have areas for naturally spawned small dungeons with loot and special creatures that only exist there, they could be like the floating islands from avatar with references to the film and settlements could be somewhat similar to columbia from bioshock infinite with houses on small islands and bridges connecting them or something like that. The settlements could be more peaceful and the big floating cities could be left as something players can build Plus i guess if the floating islands are on an ocean planet you could build the lighthouse on an island, then columbia on floating islands above and rapture underneath.
