Fluffalo stuck on my ship

Since a year I have a Fluffalo on my ship which gives me plant fibres to create bandages. The problem I have since I started playing again is that the Fluffalo is stuck at the front of my ship and doesn't produce plant fiber anymore. I tried to capture it using a Capture Pod but that does nothing.

Any idea how I can get rid of it or capture it so I can respawn it?

Besides that, can I put it on my ship again or do animals not produce on a ship like foods?
