Bug/Issue Game freezes on Sebastian 6 Heart “Solarion Game” event

I’m having a repeatable problem at a particular point in the game.

It occurs in Sebastian’s 6 Heart event where he, Sam and I are playing Solarion Chronicles in Sebastian’s bedroom. No matter which character I choose, the game freezes on the “The Tower lies before you/Go in front/Choose back entrance” screen. Neither option button works and I have to shut down the game to get out. Upon re-entry, I’m waking up first thing in the morning on the same day.

I’ve tried shutting down and restarting the game, doing a power-down reboot of the iPad and restarting the game, and (as you’ll see below), installing the latest game upgrade.

Playing on an iPad Pro, iOS v12.2
Stardew Valley v1.27 (which I *just* updated to), as well as the previous version where I first experienced the issue

I guess I’m going to have to stay out of Sebastian’s bedroom...
