It does. At this point I'd ask for you to pastebin your log, but I have a sneaking suspicion as to the issue you're having...

 

Can confirm, works fine with 1.4. Lumberbots are a mainstay of my farm setups.

 

I'm getting an error on the server from this mod and am unable to place markers without the game crashing

double check another mod doesn't have the same item name.

The lumberjack bot has a height sensitivity of 30 blocks. I.E., if you're going to enclose where the trees are growing, the ceiling height needs to be a minimum of 30 blocks or it will not plant saplings.
