Hi, I was always disturbed and confused about the Geode's and Fish treasure items. Hence i thought about possibilities to change that. To implement it better. At least for my understanding. As the FishingOverhaul was released by TehPers I just realized that is my chance to change something in the game. <== MOD DOWNLOAD LINK ==> General install information: If you are using another MOD which is replacing the "ObjectInformation.xnb" just let me know and i can create patches for that easily! Also make a backup of this file before overwriting it! 1. You need TehPers awesome Fishing Overhaul as a mandatory requirement! http://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/866/? 2. The file Stardew Valley\Content\Data\ObjectInformation.xnb has to be replaced with my updated one. 3. The file Stardew Valley\Mods\FishingOverhaul\treasure.json has to be replaced with my updated one. --> If there is no file with that name does not matter just drop it there! Detailed information: WARNING. This could get a bit confusing for people who did not touched Stardew Valleys data and files... As per default the Geode's in Stardew Valley are containing many minerals and artifacts. As well some basic things like coal, ores, stone and clay. Also the treasure loot in the fishing area are containing minerals and artifacts as well. I was unsatisfied with that loot distribution. The Geodes were a mixture of minerals and artifacts. What i did: Step I. Remove following items from treasure chests and add them to the Geodes loot table: ID Name 60 Emerald 62 Aquamarine 64 Ruby 66 Amethyst 68 Topaz 70 Jade 72 Diamond 74 Prismatic Shard 84 Frozen Tear 86 Earth Crystal 80 Quartz 82 Fire Quartz So you have to take the Geodes to the blacksmith to get for example diamonds. Step II. Reorganize Geode loot "tables" Vanilla Stardew Valley 1.11: Geode 121 538 542 548 549 552 555 556 557 558 566 568 569 571 574 576 Frozen Geode 123 541 544 545 546 550 551 559 560 561 564 567 572 573 577 Magma Geode 122 539 540 543 547 553 554 562 563 565 570 575 578 Omni Geode 121 122 123 538 539 540 541 542 543 544 545 546 547 548 549 550 551 552 553 554 555 556 557 558 559 560 561 562 563 564 565 566 567 568 569 570 571 572 573 574 576 575 577 578 As you can see the OmniGeode is kind of Overloaded. Also the loot "tables" for the entry count of the other ones is quite low. Artifacts and Minerals are mixed. Omni Geode is just a "trash bin" of the other 3 Geodes. Performed Changes: Geode - 55% of overall Minerals 60 62 64 66 68 82 538 542 548 549 552 553 554 555 556 557 558 565 566 568 569 570 571 574 575 576 The items in green cannot be changed by me. They are in by default. Frozen Geode - 55% of overall Minerals. 70 72 80 84 86 539 540 541 543 544 545 546 547 550 551 559 560 561 562 563 564 567 572 573 577 578 The items in green cannot be changed by me. Magma Geode - 90% of overall Minerals. 74 538 539 540 541 542 543 544 545 546 547 548 549 550 551 552 553 554 555 556 557 558 559 560 561 562 563 564 565 566 567 568 569 570 571 572 573 574 575 576 577 578 The Magma Geode is containing any minerals from Geode and Frozen Geode but not: ID Name 60 Emerald 62 Aquamarine 64 Ruby 66 Amethyst 68 Topaz 70 Jade 72 Diamond 84 Frozen Tear 86 Earth Crystal 80 Quartz 82 Fire Quartz Also gold ore is in its default loot list. Omni Geode - Artifacts only. Nearly 85%. 102 103 105 106 107 108 110 111 112 113 114 115 116 118 124 125 126 127 579 580 581 582 583 584 585 586 587 588 589 In green marked again the default loot which i do not know how to change. So right now the Magma Geode is a bit overloaded but i use that to make it hard to get the prismatic shard Also a big share of the Artifacts are contained in the Omni Geode. Nearly 85%. To get the missing 15% you can go fishing. As well the artifact spots and mining/fighting could be an option. Step III. Reorganizing Treasure chest loot tables. ID | Object | Probability | Amount | Fishing Level 685 | Bait | 20,00% | 5 - 12 | 0 774 | Wild Bait | 5,00% | 3 - 6 | 5 102 | Lost Book | 0,75% | 1 | 6 535 | Geode | 17,50% | 1 - 3 | 3 536 | Frozen Geode | 17,50% | 1 - 3 | 3 537 | Magma Geode | 12,50% | 1 - 2 | 5 749 | Omni Geode | 9,00% | 1 - 2 | 8 382 | Coal | 15,00% | 2 - 5 | 0 378 | Copper Ore | 12,50% | 1 - 7 | 1 380 | Iron Ore | 10,00% | 1 - 7 | 2 384 | Gold Ore | 7,50% | 1 - 7 | 5 386 | Iridium Ore | 5,00% | 1 - 5 | 8 388 | Wood | 15,00% | 10 - 25 | 0 390 | Stone | 10,00% | 5 - 12 | 0 392 | Nautilus Shell | 2,50% | 1 | 8 393 | Coral | 5,00% | 1 | 3 394 | Rainbow Shell | 2,50% | 1 | 8 397 | Sea Urchin | 5,00% | 1 | 5 372 | Clam | 5,00% | 1-3 | 0 770 | Mixed Seeds | 2,50% | 5 - 10 | 3 495 | Spring Seeds | 1,50% | 5 - 10 | 5 496 | Summer Seeds | 1,50% | 5 - 10 | 5 497 | Fall Seeds | 1,50% | 5 - 10 | 5 498 | Winter Seeds | 1,50% | 5 - 10 | 5 499 | Ancient Seeds | 0,50% | 1 - 3 | 10 347 | Rare Seeds | 1,00% | 1 - 5 | 8 166 | Treasure Chest | 0,25% | 1 | 10 14 | Neptune's Glaive | 1,00% | 1 | 5 51 | Broken Trident | 1,00% | 1 | 5 504 | Sneakers | 1,25% | 1 | 3 505 | Rubber Boots | 1,00% | 1 | 3 506 | Leather Boots | 1,00% | 1 | 3 507 | Work Boots | 1,00% | 1 | 3 508 | Combat Boots | 0,75% | 1 | 5 509 | Tundra Boots | 0,75% | 1 | 5 510 | Thermal Boots | 0,75% | 1 | 5 511 | Dark Boots | 0,625% | 1 | 8 512 | Firewalker Boots | 0,50% | 1 | 10 513 | Genie Shoes | 0,50% | 1 | 10 516 | Small Glow Ring | 1,00% | 1 | 3 517 | Glow Ring | 0,75% | 1 | 5 518 | Small Magnet Ring | 1,00% | 1 | 3 519 | Magnet Ring | 0,75% | 1 | 5 520 | Slime Charmer Ring | 0,75% | 1 | 5 521 | Warrior Ring | 0,625% | 1 | 8 522 | Vampire Ring | 0,625% | 1 | 8 523 | Savage Ring | 0,625% | 1 | 8 524 | Ring of Yoba | 0,625% | 1 | 8 525 | Sturdy Ring | 0,625% | 1 | 8 526 | Burglar's Ring | 0,625% | 1 | 8 527 | Iridium Band | 0,25% | 1 | 10 528 | Jukebox Ring | 1,00% | 1 | 3 96 | Dwarf Scroll I | 0,75% | 1 | 6 97 | Dwarf Scroll II | 0,75% | 1 | 6 98 | Dwarf Scroll III | 0,75% | 1 | 6 99 | Dwarf Scroll IV | 0,75% | 1 | 6 100 | Chipped Amphora | 0,75% | 1 | 6 101 | Arrowhead | 0,75% | 1 | 6 104 | Elvish Jewelry | 0,75% | 1 | 6 109 | Ancient Sword | 0,75% | 1 | 6 117 | Anchor | 0,75% | 1 | 6 119 | Bone Flute | 0,75% | 1 | 6 120 | Prehistoric Handaxe | 0,75% | 1 | 6 121 | Dwarvish Helm | 0,75% | 1 | 6 122 | Dwarf Gadget | 0,75% | 1 | 6 123 | Ancient Drum | 0,75% | 1 | 6 74 | Prismatic Shard | 0,25% | 1 | 10 End Summary of all changes: Get rid of some Minerals in Fishing. Added them to the Geodes. Redistributed the loot tables of the Geodes as well. Changed loot tables of the treasure to fit to the new requirements. ==> Fishing is still important because you get Geodes and some Artifacts which are not covered in Geodes as well! (Dwarven Items like scrolls etc.) I also added some nice items to the treasure chests you may not obtain in vanilla treasure chests. Hence its a nice addition at least from my point of view. BR Torsten PS: Please drop a message in the comment section if you have questions or any other feedback. Also please let me know whether i should create some patches to enable this MOD with other one's who are touching "ObjectInformation.xnb" as well. PSS: If you want to check the ID's i used here check my other work as well. --> Object ID's for Stardew Valley v1.1 <-- Some other mods i can recommend: Fast Geode Better Quarry Mining with Explosives More Crops, Unofficial Continuation Mod More Crops, Unofficial Continuation Mod now with Tea
Sounds knorke ! Will try it out with my new game. I am already using TehPers fishing overhaul mod so will so this is perfect. Thank you! This mod could be considered a worthwhile addition for longevity playthroughs.
Hey, I was just wondering, on Nexus it said to ask you about compatibility patches for other mods that edit the objectinformation.xnb. By chance would you make this compatible with http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/more-crops-unofficial-continuation.129349/ ? When I was editing it myself I thought that I saw that it was already compatible, but as I went to play the game, my error log lit up like a Christmas tree...
ok i uploaded the compability version to Nexus. Of course you need the More Crops Mod installed first. If you receive any errors about that Mod in SMAPI my MOD is 100% not the cause for that ... Hopefully
Awesome mod! Would you mind adding compatibility for Tacobones crops/items edits http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/taco-bones-item-crop-graphics-over-30-itens-done.126565/ as well as the More Crops Mod?

Of course i can do that... PS: I checked the data an no ObjectInformation.xnb is touched. So that mod should be compatible 100%
What about the unofficial crop continuation with mysticTempest tea mod and tacobones crop and items edits. Will that work
Done ... have fun. Updated everything to Version 1.21. Some grammar fixes... <== MOD DOWNLOAD LINK ==>
Just check the optional files. You have to install the official mod first. After that download my compability file in optional area at nexus download. Then overwrite. PS: Of Course you need TeH's Fishing Overhaul for the full experience. ==> http://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/ajax/downloadfile?id=3263 I do not upload the work of others. Hence i only upload the files i have to alter to enable compability. That way the original mod aiuthor is not being "scammed"
Hey, would you mind adding compatibility for lookup anything http://community.playstarbound.com/threads/smapi-lookup-anything.122929/ and ui info suit http://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/1150/? One of them is not compatible with your mod, I'm not sure wich one but I think it's the lookup anything mod, because after I use your mod I can't use it....
I get this when I run SMAPI 1.14.1 [13:41:24 ERROR SMAPI] Skipped Geode and Treasure Overhaul because it doesn't have a manifest. Edit: Nvm I'm stupid ;-;
ObjectInformation.xnb runs on a completely different format in Stardew v1.2, and needs to be modified accordingly.
granted, I'm only guessing this because SMAPI sent up a warning that certain values are missing when I tried this mod's ObjectInformation.xnb. ....Also, the filesize kinda tripled compared to SV v1.1
