Hey-o everyone! I thought I'd post up some poetry. I've gotten in the love-struck mood and thought I'd share some poetry I wrote. It'd be cool to see what others have written as well, so feel free to post them up on down in the comments below! I'll be updating my list from time to time if the mood strikes my fancy, so enjoy and happy posting!

Like the cool summers breeze in the evening
Her touch was gently and soothing
Only the heat of the night and bodies were the only sign of warmth
As the grass rustled playful music to the ears of the singing bugs
Pressing close as the light of the moon reflected only a cascade of the now one figure
Soft whispers can be herd from each others lips
    "I Love You."

    Like The Darkness
    Staring Into The Endless Void
Is The Eternal Of Our Love In The Afterlife
Not Even The Sands Of Time Will Wither The Lifeless

Holding Her Close As The Stars Play Hide And Seek
The Sun Lingers On The Horizon As Sea Embraces The Night Sky,
    We Hold Each Tightly
Staring Into Her Eyes As We Make Butterfly Kisses.
Puppy Love Fills The Night Sky
Losing Our Selves In The Ecstasy Of The Night
Making Love As The Water Gently Tickles At Us,
Taking All Sorrows Away With Each Pass,
Making One Final Breath Of Words Spoken,
    I Love You

    In The Morning
When True Lovers Lips Do Part
The Sun; Like Her Eyes, They Shine
For Today Is Like No Other,
For Today Is The Starting Of Another

Within our lives, things will come and go
Both the good and the bad, and what we hold dear
We even have our scars to show
That laughs and tears were far and near
As I write to you, my friend you see
I thank-you for the time you had spent with me

    Abstract Space

When nothing is so wrapped around ones mined it becomes something
when darkness consumes vision and blinds perception
when rules turn to dogma and its pointlessness becomes a burden
    Space will remain
when love turns to obsession and hate to mutual respect
when tears turn to the motivation to make something different
when fears turn into walls and splinters in to sects
    Space will remain
At all levels of knowledge, understanding and mystery
in all places of comfort, horror and complacency
in apathy, empathy and smothering care
in all thing that life at essence share
Space will remain an abstract thing
    in minds and on paper
    in bits and in bytes
    in books and on tongues
in songs and poems prose and in story
    an abstract thing
    but
    Space will remain

Confidence appears to always be a figment of ones imagination
But doubt comes from our primal parts
    like hunger and lust

    egos can be crushed
    fluffed or even
    propped up

it can be faked and pea-cocked in front of peers
it can raked thru the hot coals of critique
and brought low and wanting by our fears

    But doubt is base
    like rhythm
    never created
but like grooves that fit a melody
    hooked into
    and channeled
    just something
    that simply
    was meant to be

    Doubt
    is meant to be
    confronted
    channeled
    then conquered
    confidence fodder
    the fuel that feeds
    the confidence
    I create to make me
    Me

    Created or not
    the ashes of conquered doubt
    resurrects its self
    into the confidence we need
    to be ones self

    Ambient silence. Nightfall arrives.
    The sun sets: streaks of red;
    gold in the sky.

    Branches rustle and leaves hustle.
    Feathers fall beneath swift claws,
    Their agony is nigh.

    Darkness descends upon the prey,
A shriek of despair, blood in the air,
    Bloodlust can never die.

    Once I've wandered here before,
    These endless halls, this corridor.
The light at the end, a shadowplay:
The final spark - light's fading ray.

Death is dark, but this more grim,
No shallow hope, no pipe dream dim.
    Mindnumbingly seeking what rose-garnered lies
In the warmth of her heart, in the flicker of her eyes.

Willingly I followed when the piper called
My heart, my soul, my life enthralled:
A viper's kiss, so sweet and short
Herald my entrance, milady, my Lord.

    Look at the way
    Those shadows dance
    Their beautiful sway
    Would kill at a glance

    Will they come close
    Or will they stay?
    Their seductive prose
    Molds me like clay.

    Their moves, the grace!
    Those twists and turns!
My heart beats to the rapid pace
    My face blushes and burns.

    I can’t be here
    Not ever seen
    If they hear-

    I stand there, entranced
    As those two figures halt.
    They stop their graceful dance
And I know it’s all my fault.

I remember as I ran away
    Their expressions’ gaunt,
I’ll never see the light of day
    Without the shadows’ haunt.

    Oh, I still remember
    Their grace like doves,
    By my actions dismembered
    Their intimacy and love.

Look at our plight in the fading night, fearing the dawn.
What will the world say, when in the dawn see our horrid dreams?
Sins of the father, sins of the son! When seen in light all will be undone!
Don't judge us, don't hurt us, We know what we have done!
Please let us be, please let us leave.

If you love me so. Then you shall say no.

Creatures came from the starry night
Men who are not like thee
Twisted creatures, ghouls of darkness, beasts the make you scream.
A great falcon rose and fought their stride
    Aided by mountainous men
Together they fought, day after day, until the falcon forced into flight
One last battle, one last strike, caused the beings to slumber
There they stayed there they hid, slowly gathering their number
    Next came two eagles bold
They sought the help of a dragon old
Men of steel and troops of valour
    Gathered beneath their mighty banner
Forward they charged for the enemy's heart.
    An army dedicated to cause
A mass to give the worst enemy pause.
The battle raged and they fell by hundreds
Yet the eagle's fell by thousands
The men of steel to their ghoulish gaze
The dragon to their endless blades
The battle was lost, it is true
But real hope they did renew
The falcon had been watching close
And the mountain warriors were encouraged most
    Strange people, white as bone
Joined them in protecting their home
    Great black men of stone
    Pirates with sparking hoods
And machines that could build what no one else could
Against their hope, nothing was done
The enemy left, one by one
In times before, the people had quarrelled
    But the quarrels troubled nevermore
What of the evil beings you say?
Did they not fear them every day?
Really they were only portrayed that way
    Looking for a home
Though he stars they had roamed
The falcon saw this and bade them stay
The bond between them grew ever stronger
    Enemy's they were no longer

A Sallok sits alone at night
He carefully considers his horrible plight
He watches the dark that sucks him in
He can find no possible way to win
The writing stops, there is no shout
No one pauses as his soul winks out.

    Summer red and Winter blue
How I long for each of you
But when you come and stay a day
I only wish you'd go away.

Get those poems in and share the love/heartache/giggles!

Again, if you want to submit a poem, you can leave it in the comments and I'll add it to the List with your name as the spoiler; or you can PM me if you'd rather. As well, if you wish to remain anon, just let me know and I'll add a special spot for those poems. :nuruwink:

Hmm... here's a cool idea; make spoilers for people who post poems of their own, and then they can all collaborate.

Oh man, that's good! Small correction: Since there is two shadows, the title would presumably be in plural "The Shadows' Dance" or "The Shadows Dance"

That would make for an awesome metalcore song. Legit, keep a decent tempo with alternating double kickers, growl/scream the verses, add in a chorus and have it sung, have a 2 min face melting solo at the the end. I'd buy the shit out of that song.
