You just have to remember how the weapons work. Like how many shots it would take to kill an Elite with a sniper rifle. (Unless it's a headshot. Then insta-kill.)

Plasma pistols are awesome.
Magnum is a beast.
If I could dual wield a magnum and a plasma pistol, I would.
Bloody Christ. Deactivate their shield with the plasma pistol and one shot them with the magnum...

If Red vs Blue is anything to go by, I'd say it's perfectly acceptable.

And you can get other weapons, those are just the ones you start out with. Just like a loadout.

If it's a crawler:
Yes, but no shooting things. It would have to be more of a pet than bodyguard.

If it's a watcher:
Yes, it doesn't shoot or revive stuff. It can still throw grenades back and maybe survey stuff.
