NPC How Florans REALLY mate, my idea.

I had an idea. There might be a season where the male gets much more pollen, perhaps in winter, and then they "mate" like animals/humans do, the female would be pregnant for a few months, and in spring the baby would come ( Dunno if like mammel or from seed, probably seed-like egg ) and the baby would grow up.
Here is a question i got earlier.

Answer: There is a seed/pod right? After a while it starts to crack, then it opens (maybe releasing some kinda gross liquid) and the baby comes out, hopefully quickly being carried up by the mother or father. They would use water instead of milk probably

Well. I thought the females top flower comes in, then the pod shoots out gently, and the flower comes back which is why the flower changes color.

I like it, seems pretty realistic.

I just have trouble imagining the plant pregnancy thingy.... wouldn't they make a fruit?

 

If Pokemon had mating in it, Starbound could easily have it.

 

Yes, very so, this could very well be the deciding factor on so much of what happens in-game sarcasm

But its a player controlled race so.....

 

Realism makes games seem real. Playing a game that seems like a living breathing world is better then a obviously fake one, in my book. Even if there are aliens or magicks, or anything like that.

Yes, but you still control if you want your Pokemon to have babies or not

 

I would imagine only the same races can mate, for the sake of awkwardness and strangeness.
Maybe there can be like 1 or 2 NPCs that are cross race, but only that.

I like the idea that they grow from one tree, which will grow numerous baby florans like fruit.

 

I can just picture my character in game grabbing fruit and getting attacked by super saiyan florans...
