Hey. You don't seem to have this mod on the Steam workshop. I could upload this there if you want, and keep it updated. I would obviously give you all the credit, and include a link on this mod page.

 

I do not want to see my Hylotl Stuff mod in Steam workshop.

 

That's fine, but may I ask why? Most people use the Workshop exclusively to download mods, and this mod doesn't get the attention it deserves when it is only available here.

 

i don't presume to speak for Pohany here, however:

quite a few people just don't like steam, as for your claim that "most people use workshop" no... no they don't, people who have bought starbound on GOG or other sources cannot even use workshop for mods

only steam users can use steam, but EVERYONE can use these forums for mods, and workshop's distribution method is an extreme nuisance for people who like modding and tweaking their own mods, creating conflicts and overwriting mods with "new"(and possibly broken) versions of mods

many, many people would rather update their mods when THEY want to update them, not when steam decides to shove it into their game unannounced and disrupt their playthroughs

 

i may add that ppl on steam are more demanding and annoying in general
plus having to push 2 updates is just more work

 

Mods on workshop get about 10-50x more downloads than mods on Chucklefish forums. Here are a few examples:
