Title says it all. I was hoping to make a door permanently stuck open using wiring tricks, is this possible?

What a heck I only seen this post now. Also oddly it was bumped way up even tho there is no activity ...

    ANYWAYS

What I use to do is take one of the switches that stay toggled, it can be valve or levers long as it can be wired then wire it to the desired doors. However the main trick is to hide the switch underground and in dark area so its completely seamless. I toggle the switch till I get the door be open then leave it alone dig myself out and bury the hole in. With this no NPC or anyone will mess with the switch and the door keep being open forever.

You can find those at random places but also can make them in the wire station. I dont know the exact names of the items but I think you will figure it out and find what you personally like.

Before all this I also used a mod that used the doors assets as decor so when I placed it on a building it was always open door, that sprite frame, but counted as I placed a genuine door there and was as closed however you could walk through it. So it had a structural protection on while being a decor too. No need to wire anything etc. The mod doesn't work anymore nor I know what was it called. It was YEARS ago. But something for an idea, maybe someone can make that again.

When the mod stopped working I went back to just use the old switch trick.

Hope this makes some sense. xD

And the mentioned persistent switch in post above me I honestly don't remember using that so cant say anything for or against it.

But I am curious as what thing works for you folks best. What you like to use and how. My methods or there is something else better.
