She looked around and nodded. "Sounds like an okay plan, we should be careful though since most of them will be enclosed spaces though," she responded, looking around for a possible route, "another issue would be that we may not be able to see the building, so pick your poison I guess."
He tilts his head side to side as he thinks. "Well, we can follow the streets until we see some zombies, then follow the alleys until we get there."
She though for a moment and nodded. "That sounds good, lets do that," she said, starting to head off, glancing behind her to be sure he was following.
They wandered along the maze of roads within the city. Doing this, they got a good look at the place. The mix of taller and shorter buildings, mostly destroyed and decaying now. Fallen traffic lights that had been stripped of their electronic parts. The road had pits and holes in it in several places. It didn't take them too long before they rounded a corner where they could see a street full of zombies.
Unsheathing her knife, Altair followed his lead and looks around for escape routes and ways around the horde. Once she was hidden she searched through thr rubble for a decentl sized rock. "Theoretically, we could throw a rock as far away from us as we can, then use the noise as a distraction so we can move around them," she whispered, looking around, "we just need to figure out a way around first."
"We can use a side alley, we just have to make sure there are no zombies in it first." He follows her lead and also picks up a rock.
She turned and nodded before pointing at a side alley that went in the right direction. "Once we lure the zombies away, lets head over there as quietly as possible," she whispered, picking up a rock and tossing it as hard and as far down a nearby street leading in the opposite direction as she could.
The rock clatters on the ground far away from them. Of the group of zombies, only one seems to notice.
@The Purple Dragon @endlessneverland A similar effect happens, turns out rocks aren't actually that loud.
"Well I suppose this is a good enough time as any," he takes a sonic grenade from his bag, "cover you ears!" He throws the grenade into a gutter in front of a building across from the alleyway.
@The Purple Dragon @endlessneverland The sonic grenade lands with a clunk and begins to do it's work. A high-pitched noise started to come from the device. So high pitched, that even if Killik hadn't covered his ears, he still wouldn't have heard anything. About half the zombies started wandering in that direction, the other half didn't seem to notice.
"Must be a dud. Anyway, now is a good enough time as any, run." He begins running as quietly as he can to the alley.
They manage to duck into the alleyway without much trouble. It was messy, as one would expect, but at least it was quiet.
@The Purple Dragon @endlessneverland They walk through the alleyway, seeing the old piles of garbage that humans left behind. Most of it hadn't even decomposed yet. There were so many plastic bags. They reached the end of the alley. From here they could see another alley that led further into the city, but to get to it they would need to cross a street full of zombies.
((In the interest of moving things along, I think I'll have to intervene here.)) Altair shrugged. "Got any more of those noisemaker things?"
