Journey of the Prairie King Crash (Switch)

Hey all, I recently undertook the task of surmounting JotPK and was making real progress until...It started locking up. It has happened twice now, once when I was on the level before boss, skeles and red gobos, had double upgraded ammo and single upgrades in boots and gun, 8 or 9 lives I think.

Second time it happened was on the first level of the wood kingdom, after that I couldn't bring myself to spend any more time on it.

Hoping y'all can find and fix, I love the game and want to see what happens when I beat it!
