    Do you know if the Neko Race mod is compatible with this? I have it on as well but it won't show up on the modded slots.

    It's probably not compatible with Starbound 1.0 at this point, but I don't know which version you are installing to check. Nor do I want to playtest it, since I've got my own mods to update.

    Excellent. Can the option to "remove clothing" be added so we can see the full coloration of our characters like the standard character creator does?

    Disregard this, I just missed the little clicky button. Excellent mod.

    Felins, Vespoids, Viera, Sergal, Avali, Bunnykin, Familiars, Lopunny, Umbreon, Munari, and Orcana.
    The Super /sbg/ mod adds 8 more and the Pony modpack adds 7.
    Plus the base 7 leads to a total of 33 used.

    Add in the the Sallok, Inklings, and Argonians for 36! (Actually, I'm keeping a few slots open right now for a couple of old favorites that haven't been converted to 1.0 yet)

    So far felins and orcana have been the most fun. Tried out several others as well. More than just playing them though, it is fun running into villages and npcs of various random races. Adds more variety to planet exploration stumbling on an avali encampment of a felin town.

    With fifty species mods (let's assume they all have settlements and such) and only 36 buttons in the CC, you'd still be able to meet them, even if you can't be them.

    I have a rather interesting question for you since I can't think of anyone more familiar with custom races and the race menu.

    Do you think it would be possible to make the codex menu behave like the chargen menu? Namely the speciesOrdering feature that dynamically populates each race icon?

    With the codex menu being a fixed "racetab.png @ this position" sort of deal, it's of course pretty much cut-off compatibility for our custom race tabs. If there was a way to make it behave like the chargen though and have it just dynamically fill the tabs via a species table, that would be an amazing modders resource. Looking at the config files myself I'm fearing it might be an engine-level feature though, you ever tinker with it yourself?

    No. All this is quite impossible. I and smarter men have indeed tinkered with it, and it is indeed hardcoded.

    I may as well make a note here. A friend in Steam is saying this mod isn't working for him right now, and he showed me a shot to prove it, also saying he's still currently subscribed to it and the various race mods we've been using. Meanwhile, I'm still able to see everything just fine.

    Did anything change recently?

    Hold up, he says Starbound isn't using mods for some reason.

    Alternatively, @XelSlime and @AlbertoRota, the friend isn't actually running Starbound from Steam. In which case, there's no Steam connectivity and thus no Workshop content will be loaded.

    EDIT: I found out it was OptimizeBound causing that to happen, which I can probably work around by removing it while making the character than adding it after restarting the game.
