I was hoping that the kitchen could be more storage oriented. There is a whole wall of cabinets that cannot be interacted with. I would be awesome if you could place food in the cabinet areas and have it become available when using the counter for cooking - similar to the fridge. I have 5 chests in the kitchen for all the cooking goods and it seems redundant to have both.
I agree. ..........Nothing more to say about that, except to just make each cabinet be a "chest" that is linked to the cooking station, as the OP already said. ^^
