I have tried several fixes, including the ones posted in the sticky as well as several others. I have verified my game cache, reinstalled my c++ distributables, run steam/the launcher/starbound.exe in any combination of "Run As Admin" or not running as admin. When I click on Launch Starbound, I get about 5-7 seconds of a "working" cursor, then I hear an error sound. Starbound.exe remains in my task manager processes for about another 30 or 60 seconds and disappears. It's really frustrating, I want to play this game so badly!

    Here is my starbound log:

This process of numbers repeats several times in the log. I'm running windows 7 on a quad core process, 8 gb of ram, and a 1gb radeon 5750 graphics card.

    Help!

    Has it EVER worked?

No, it hasn't started up since I bought it on Friday and I've spent a chunk of the weekend troubleshooting it.

There's an SBDiagnose in the Starbound directory, run it and see what it says.

Yeah, on when i hit launch starbound it does the whole chucklefish logo and then it just stays at loading. forever, i let it sit there for 2 hours and it still didn't open, even though it usually instantly opens.

Could you put your Starbound log up on pastebin?

    ----------

I totally missed that you said you get an error sound...

If the game is installed in Program Files, try moving it to another library somewhere else (c:\SteamLibrary , perhaps). There should also be an entry in the Event Viewer 'Application' log for starbound.exe

http://pastebin.com/tJADNWs1 my Starbound log. I've already re-downloaded the game to a different library via steam settings.

http://pastebin.com/Hn2svahm is my information/error logs from event viewer when I start up sb. I have to head off to work now, if you have any suggestions I'll try them in the morning when I get home!
