Closed "Loot order"

So, I've been playing with two friends (let's call them K and O for now) for a while now, we noticed that when mining ore if we all stand at the same spot, or even just close enough for the ore to "fly gather" towards you, it always goes to K. If he is within gathering distance, despite one of me or O being nearer, he still always gets the ore.
If just me or O are mining it most of the time goes to me.

It's not that big an issue for us since we just share what we find if needed, but I can imagine if I was playing multiplayer with some random people it would get very annoying, even if the guy shares.

Not sure if it matters but K is hosting the server we are playing on, odd coincidence or the actual "problem"?

(One time I was in a hole mining and K jumped over and all the ore went swooshing by up to him )

Anyways, not much of a problem for us, but I figure it's something that will stop people from playing at random hosted servers, which could or could not be a problem Just thought I'd let you know

 

Happens to me aswell, when mining with friends on my server the materials aways go to me first, i suspect this is because the server host has the least lag so it goes it them.
