Bug/Issue Losing Items When Breaking Chests

I was sorting through my items in the chests whilst my pickaxe was equipped and accidentally hit a chest. It was half full of items, but it broke and I lost the items (I got them back after starting the last save again, though).

Also sometimes when I try to break empty chests with the pickaxe, they don't break - they don't break when don't stand directly behind, in front, or to the side of the chest.

I played with the new Beta but in singleplayer.
