Just a thought, but maybe have critical strikes with weapons add a *very small* amount of luck xp (if it's possible)? This would give a way to intentionally level the skill that's a bit less erratic and random, and allow people to level it alongside other skills (meaning Combat). Just make sure it's a VERY small amount of xp since some weapons have super high crit rates. :]
I can't seem to find it said explicitly... does leveling up this skill have any effect, or only the level 5 and 10 tiers?
Ah, thanks! My question was more about whether leveling up the skill had an effect on your base luck, but then I installed the mod to try it out anyway and saw in the level-up dialogue that it was indeed the case.
I was just curious, might there be any chance of an addon for the Experience Bars mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/509/? It'd be nice to have it work as well

How about? Passive - Better daily luck lv.10 Lucky - sligth increas in rarer drop/ctitical hit Special Charm - Great daily luck most of the item. One with Nature ( - sligthly better chance with nigtly events (since this mostly only fairy, or does meteor drop big crop etc. count to it too? ) lv10 One with soil - increase of luck with ground related things -liek more sap/wood drop from trees better chance for finding artifact spots or better chance for giant corps(this isnt considered nightly event right? more forage etc. and maybe some very slight move spd increase(souds too cheaty tho) ( since i dont know how it coded hard to say what would be doable tho) One with Sea - increase in chance of having rain / better chance to get bubbles? (fishing spots) maybe sligthly better tresure in treasure chets and when or a chnce to catch double fish (or better quality since it pretty sounds stupid to catch 2 fish with 1 rod) things to chang for beter balance also Names are to be changed E or how about better luck for relation ships? like change to get more (xp from gifting talking doing quests) second would more gifts in your mail etc or changing one to completly combat related ( lv.5 crit stike 10 woul drop /ad better crit strike since even if it would add 5% and 5% it would be 20 with best possible luck) and other side would be purely for production sowthnig like nature luck higher
Has the compatibility with EXP Bars been broken? I can't seem to see either the luck or cooking skill bars when I load my saved game. In addition, a couple of ideas: Lucky - Moderately improved daily luck for most of the time Enviable - Exceedingly great daily luck all the time, at the expense of sometimes randomly losing some relationship points with villagers (has minuscule chance of happening when relationship is already maxed) Pitiable - Extremely poor luck all of the time, however moderate chance to receive mediocre/great random gifts from up to 3 villagers every day via mail Waste Not, Want Not - Greatly improves chance that dumpster diving will yield a random item (not trash), with possibility of item having a higher quality Sweat of the Brow - Greatly improved chances of gaining extra crops from harvesting and chance to grow giant crops, improves chance of crops being high quality Strength of the Arm - Greatly improved chances of gaining extra wood from trees and multiple coal pieces/ores/geodes from rocks (if paired with Lumberjack, then greatly improved chances of regular trees dropping hardwood) First tree (Lucky) is designed for less extreme benefits, but applied to a lot of areas, like a jack of all trades. Second tree (Waste Not, Want Not) is designed for sustained, constant benefits that specialise entirely in a few fields. As they are they seem a bit overpowered so maybe applying them to a lesser degree might be a good choice. Then again, leveling this skill is excruciatingly slow, so maybe it balances out.
